It looks like Hillary was never a serious lawyer, but a total political hack from the very beginning all the way through Clinton's governorship and into the White House. She has swindled her way through life, and accomplished nothing. What did she even do as a Senator? If she hadn't been First Lady beforehand, we would have never known her. Then she was remiss in her duties as Sec State, and people were killed.

G.W. Bush's Secret Service detail had their own house on Bush's ranch.

I know for a fact that Nixon's Secret Service detail lived on Nixon's estate in San Clemente. Back in the 70's there wasn't one damn motel in San Clemente or San Juan Capistrano. The closest hotel was in Newport Beach.

Reagan's ranch was a problem according to Joseph Petro who was on Ronald Reagan's Secret Service detail. He talks about it in the book he authored "Standing Next to History: An Agent's Life Inside the Secret Service" If I remember correctly, there might have been a few who stayed in Santa Barbra. Interesting read. You see how often Reagan used one car to go out on the town to eat or visit friends. No escorts. He never wanted to cause an inconvenience to anyone. Nixon was the same way. When Nixon use to go into San Juan Capistrano to get some Mexican food, one car. Clinton was known to sneak out of the White House without his Secret Service detail.

Obama unlike all of the other Presidents before him has an extremely large entourage and a huge Secret Service detail. Have you ever seen Obama's motorcades ? It's like a frickin parade. Even Obama's daughter rate a five car motorcade. Clinton's daughter only got one car.

President Obama is an embarrassment to many Americans, The entire Obama family acts like a poor black family from the South Side of Chicago who won the lotto.

A family vacation trip to Africa that cost the tax payers $100 million dollars.

Wow that was a lot of spin in one post. You do realize that the MANDATORY protection is dictated by the US congress right? That after someone tried to kill Reagan, then security was ramped up and after 9/11 it was ramped up even more? Bush had just as big (if not bigger) security when he went around.

As for the 100 million dollar "family vacation trip to Africa".. you mean the official state visits to African nations?

Guessing you dont count the trillion dollar cost to put Bush in Baghdad to get a shoe thrown at him eh?

Obama's $100 million dollar family vacation is what it was. An official state business to Senegal, Tanzania, and South Africa ? That the job of low level State Department officials to deal with foreign policies of those countries.

No competent head of state takes the entire family on an official state business if he takes his job seriously. $100 Million Dollars !!!

You have no knowledge how America's Presidents move around. All I can say is Republican Presidents always seem to have tried to be an inconvenience to the people while Democrat Presidents act like monarchs looking down on the common people.

She will be great in the Presidential debates though with her stock answer being, "What difference, at this point, does it make?" And that response can apply to her entire history.

She's at the top of the popularity charts, which is what wins it for you in the Democratic Party. They usually blindly vote for whomever the party puts forth. There won't be any real primaries like the Republicans did last time. They'll just throw Hillary out there, and everyone will go "Yayyyyyyy".

I gotta give it to the Dems on that, they stick together like glue. Whether a policy is good, practical or useful is completely irrelevant. The primary objective is to win the politcs and get it into law. Then go to your constituents and say, "See what we did for you? Keep voting for us, we're doing great things." :roll: Have you ever met a Democrat that said the government has ever done anything wrong? I haven't.

Yes, Democrats will always defend the indefensible, which leads to the answer of why they are Democrats. Leftists are all pretty much the same no matter which country they are in. It's really an interesting phenomenon and one related, it seems, to a form of mental illness.

First, it did not cost 100 million because we do not know how much it will cost. Even the original source said:

President Clinton's trip cost more than 42 million back in 1998 and that was without secret service costs in a pre-9/11 world.

And secondly, all presidents cause huge inconveniences, when President Bush visited the area in Europe where I live, he had to land on Maastricht Aachen airport and all the freeways in the area were closed down and during the visit loads of roads on which the president would travel along large parts of the provincial roads where closed down on the side the president would be traveling along and if the president was actually due to drive on that road the entire road on both sides would be closed off.

And that is fine, I have and had no problem with it at all. A visit of the president will cause inconveniences for the people in the area where he will visit. But because it is an honor for him to visit that is not a problem. His security needs alone dictate closures of roads and other inconveniences and that is fine, that is how presidential visits work.

All presidential visits cause inconveniences. That is how it is.

Not all of them and not every President with a big D after his name has an entire airport closed down while he gets a haircut on Air Force One while it's sitting on the tarmac of one of the busiest airports in the world.

1. the entire airport was never closed from what I have read
2. it caused little or no delays and thus had no impact on the day to day workings of that airport\

Sorry Peter deater, I was there and you weren't.

I was one of those along with a few hundred others in cars who had places to go, people to see or just wanted get home and were on Pershing Dr. who sat there for over a hour because the road was closed down. I get out of my car and walk up to an LAPD officer and ask "what gives" Officer says I don't know what the hang up is, the President was suppose to have taken off 15 minutes ago. Can't open the road until Air Force One has taken off ?

If you ever been on Pershing Dr. you would see why the road is closed when certain aircraft are taking off. You probably could take down an aircraft with a sling shot.

When I do get home I turn on the local news. I find out it was all about a hair cut. The seven local TV news stations were also there and covered and interviewed many of the pissed off passengers who flights were either delayed from taking off, landing or diverted to Ontario Airport.

The FAA considers a 15 minute or one hour delay not to be a significant delay. Don't you fly ?

The FAA is part of the federal government. It's like today with the Obama administration, when they report that the unemployment rate is just above 7% and the GDP is 1.5 % they tell you that "that's good" and your suppose to believe them that it;s good or they call you a racist.

There are three runways at LAX, two south runways and one north runway. The shorter north runway was never affected by Air Force One even if it was approaching LAX, landing, or was still on the tarmac or taking off. The two south runways that Air Force One uses were affected.

Air Force One is also kept on the tarmac near the old Imperial terminal a half mile across from the passenger terminals of today.
Have you ever flown in to Lax or been at LAX and looked to the east ? You will see numerous aircraft stacked up approaching LAX. Many times at night you can see two dozen aircraft stacked up approaching the three different runways. You have planes landing and taking off. Three runways aren't enough.

Here's what really happened during Clinton's haircut. Many of the planes that were suppose to be landing or taking off on one of the two south runways were being diverted to the north runway causing a dangerous situation of aircraft landing or taking off while there was still another aircraft further down the runway in front of them.

Flights were delayed from taking off and some flights were diverted to Ontario Airport a big inconvenience for those passengers.

Really, where does the graph say that?

When Obama first took office many states were already on the verge of going bankrupt. Many red state governors wanted to use the stimulus to pay down their state's debt instead of spending on infrastructure and job creation, but the federal government said, no.

I live in the very blue state of California, Spending has never been down in California. They always keep spending. They spend until the tax coffers are empty and they keep spending. The libs in Sacramento think they can spend money they don't have like the federal government. But have you ever seen the reaction on a liberal's face in California when they are advised that California can't print money ?
