First dog Bo is airlifted to Obama holiday home

Re: What Sequester? First dog Bo is airlifted to Obama holiday home

Yes, Starr had the goods on Clinton re his affair with Lewinski, and that is why he went after Clinton on that count.

Nailed him too, as in got him impeached.

The case broke down eventually not because of the soundness of the indictment (Clinton was obviously lying), but because in the end even a Republican-majority Senate did not think it was appropriate to remove a president from office over a trivial personal matter, even if he did commit perjury over it.

I have been saying for almost two decades now, going after Clinton because he received some oral sex or likes to stick cigars up a womans woo-hoo before smoking them is none of anyones business.

Kenneth Starr should have stayed on track, his job wasn't suppose to be bringing down Clinton but investigating illegal campaign donations to Clinton's reelection campaign from communist China and investigating the naturalization process under Al Gore's direction where for over two years that 10 % of those who were naturalized as American citizens were convicted felons.

Once Clinton committed perjury under oath, a crime was committed. The lie may have been over something that was really nobody's business. But Congress took an oath of office to uphold the Constitution. All you have to do is look how they voted in Congress and you see who upheld their oath of office and who ignored the Constitution and ignored their oath to office.

One of the points you make here is nonsense.

Obama voted many more times yes or no as a state senator than he voted "present". Of the 4,000 plus times he voted, he voted 100 to 129 times "present" sometimes he did this on his one or with a few other senators but there are just as many times when this was done as a strategy by the democratic caucus he belonged to.

So no, he voted more non votes than actual votes is totally and utterly untrue.

Well...that changes EVERYTHING!

To evaluate Clinton's claim, PolitiFact reviewed vote tallies and bill descriptions from three of Obama's four terms in the Illinois Senate – the 91st (1999-2000), 92nd (2001-2002) and 93rd (2003-2004) legislative sessions. The information was obtained from the Illinois General Assembly Web site. First, journals for each day were examined for votes and bill numbers where Obama voted "present." Then, bill summaries and vote tally pages were reviewed.

Records from Obama's first session, the 90th (1998-1999), cannot be electronically retrieved and were not included in this analysis. They are available to the public in hard copy at the state house in Springfield.

Without the full set of records, we could not verify the 129 figure, though we did count more than 100 "present" votes in the data we had available. The records show "present" votes were a tiny proportion of the more than 4,000 that Obama cast during his tenure in the chamber. Obama's presidential campaign has depicted them as strategic in nature: Either Obama was working with Democratic leaders to thwart Republican legislation when the GOP controlled the Senate, registering opposition to proposals he thought were unconstitutional or ineffective; or he was providing political help to moderates who were under pressure to support some of the bills.

Interesting! I never knew that. I always heard that voted present and I believed it. Anyway, it really doesn't help his presidency does it?

When I heard that they used a Marine V-22 Osprey to transport one fricken dog to Obama's vacation bungalow in the Hamptons and it cost the tax payers $18,800 dollars, what sequestration ?

You heard wrong.

Ah the rightwing noise machine and its weird acolytes.

No I didn't, Bo was trasnported on a V-22.

>"Bo, the president's Portuguese Water Dog, arrived separately on one of two MV-22 Ospreys, a hybrid aircraft which takes off like a helicopter but flies like a plane. It was the first time the Ospreys have been taken on holiday by a US president.

More than 70 hotel rooms, each costing up to $345 (£220) a night, have been booked out for Secret Service agents, who took charge of luggage including two large mesh bags full of basketballs. "<

If you'd bothered to read this entire thread, you'd have learned that the same plane transporting the dog was filled with Obama staff members and aides, because the runway was too small for Air Force One, necessitating two separate flights for all personnel. Please don't embarrass yourself further by regurgitating Post #1 propoganda that was proven false by the end of the first page.

Have a nice evening.

Separate from the first family. But surrounded by a slew of staff and aides who were unable to fit into the first plane. There are several links provided here to support that. If you had bothered to read them, you wouldn't continue to be wrong.

Bo got bumped by a bag of basket balls. :2rofll:

Why didn't Bo travel with the Obama's ?

Why does the Obama's even have Bo ? It's obvious that Bo isn't treated as a member of the Obama family.

When Bo has to take a crap, does Barack, Michelle or the kids take him outside ?

I bet they don't even feed him, one of the 100 K staff members feeds Bo.

How long is this vacation ? The taxpayers are paying $29,150 per night just for the Secret Service hotel rooms.

Why would they use the V-22 which is an expensive aircraft to fly ? My sources are better than the medias. Two V-22's round trips to get Bo, Obama's basketballs and other groupies to Martha Vineyards, $36,800. If they use the V-22's for the return trip, another $36,800. Total $73,600. The media comes up with a higher cost.

Why does Obama need so many basketballs ?

I don't think the Obama's even know how to take a vacation. At least not the American way.

Hey Peter,

Why is a dutchman so interested in an internal issue that is up to Americans to decide? You're dutch, dude. Either move here to America, or worry about your own country's spending.

Anyone who goes on vacation and forgets their dog and leaves it behind should be reported to the SPCA.

His vacation should be on his own dime, period. There is no reason tax payers should have to pay for a president's vacation, democrat or republican.

Every presidential vacation will cost money. The security costs will always be for the taxpayer as will costs like the presidential staff because no president will be able to ignore important issues even while on vacation.

The current President can't even take on important issues when he's at home in the White House.
The terrorist attacks in Benghazi comes to mind.

Well, I could respond in kind with failures of previous presidents (among which George W. Bush) but that will not change a thing. Obama has made many decisions but sometimes even the mightiest man cannot stop certain things.

Except if they have taken care of the care of the dog while someone goes on vacation. Or better yet, people take their dogs with them.

I doubt that every secret service agent that Bush traveled with stayed at his house, they must have stayed at hotels in Crawford just like the secret service agents are now staying near Obama's holiday home.

No no, Bush's people were magical fairies that disappeared into thin air when not needed and did not cost anything but a few grains of Texas dirt!

He wants gun control for us, when he can't even control 400 missiles. We have an empty suit sitting in the Oval Office.
