Alec Baldwin using gay slurs

The gay slurs are nothing people don't hear everyday either in life or in entertainment.

They are wrong - but free speech should triumph over PC everytime.

And, as I HATE the ridiculous level of political correctness going on in society right now - I say bravo to Baldwin for saying what he thinks on twitter.

NOT 'bravo' for what he said - but 'bravo' for the fact that he said what he thought regardless of the consequences.

Having typed that - I think the man is a pig.

I have thought that ever since that crazy, creepy phone message he left for his daughter a few years ago.

And this just confirms it even more.

This guy clearly has a seriously bad temper.

Why do you care so much if a TV cook isn't on TV anymore? It was an excuse, she wasn't raking in the ad dollars the way she used to, so they found a convenient excuse to cut her loose.

they cut people loose all the time without any drama....next

I thought libertarians were all about personal responsibility. Doesn't that include learning the truth about things?

The truth does not change the acceptable standard for all behavior including our President.

If the President starts using the language, I'll have issue with it. Until he does, I will not. My great uncle was in the KKK. Does that make me a racist, too?

Where you attend church means you support what is being said, it you attended the KKK meetings I would say yes.

If you supported everything your church said, there'd be no such thing as sin, and as far as I know, there was only one Man that walked this earth that was free from sin.

Either you support your preacher or you don't, people that don't attend somewhere else to seek the message they support.

I disagree. When I used to go to church, I didn't always agree with everything he said. I did have a mind of my own, after all. Most of us do. Even the Bible tells you to put your faith in no man, but only God.

Look. He disagreed with what was said, but as he had been a friend for a long time, did not walk away from the friendship. Once Wright continued saying what he did, knowing that it was detrimental to his relationship with the President, the President decided to walk away and he resigned his membership from the church.

I don't know what you what me to say. I have friends that are not even close to the same ideology as I am. That doesn't make me love them any less. However, if someone continually acted in a way that I felt was reprehensible, I'd distance myself from them. The President did the same. Paula Deen's endorsements and sponsors have done the same. You can only hang around someone toxic to you or your business for a certain amount of time before it affects you negatively. Her sponsors chose to cut ties quickly, as was their right to do. Obama chose to give Rev. Wright a little more leeway because of the long-time friendship, and it still didn't change anything, so Obama left the church.

OK, we'll put it another way. Why does a "libertarian" care if Republicans are treated "unfairly?" Seems to me that if you're not a Republican, who gives a ****?

Just because there's a vast left-wing conspiracy involving the Food Network :lamo

Not until he ran for President, so again why not hold our President to the same standard as Paula Deen, liberals are very selective as to how they like to apply their rules of racism is all I am saying

The guy who's against SSM and wants people put in cages for using drugs is a libertarian. LOL, good one!

the guy that sides with liberals on every issue is a libertarian, better one:roll:

If we're talking about rev. Wright and his "God damn America" quote, have you read the entire sermon? Incredible sermon. In context, these words make perfect sense. Unfortunately when folks are determined to go after someone, the truth will not deter them ... here's a portion of the sermon ...

“And the United States of America government, when it came to treating her citizens of Indian descent, she failed. She put them on reservations."

“When it came to putting her citizens of Japanese descent fairly, she failed. She put them in interment prison camps."

“When it came to putting the citizens of African descent fairly, America failed. She put them in chains. The government put them on slave quarters. Put them on auction blocks. Put them in cotton fields. Put them in inferior schools. Put them in substandard housing. Put them scientific experiments. Put them in the lower paying jobs. Put them outside the equal protection of the law. Kept them out of their racist bastions of higher education, and locked them into positions of hopelessness and helplessness."

“The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three strike law and then wants us to sing God Bless America. Naw, naw, naw. Not God Bless America. God Damn America! That’s in the Bible. For killing innocent people. God Damn America for treating us citizens as less than human. God Damn America as long as she tries to act like she is God and she is Supreme."

The dog whistle bunch don't want to know the truth. That's why they are the dog whistle bunch.

I don't side with liberals on any economic issues, but like a true libertarian, i argue in favor of equal rights, free association, and the right to one's own body. You don't share any libertarian beliefs, so I wish you would take down your sarcastic political lean, because you're embarrassing us.

The term you're looking for is "Neo-con", you'll feel right at home among the gay bashers and drug war supporters.

And you feell right at home looking toward the middle class to pay for those that won't pay for themselves.

And the liberal bunch's rules only apply to others but not themselves.

Is that how you avoid learning more detail about what was really said in what you quoted? I suspect that you'll continue parroting that nonsense about Reverend Wright, even after being shown the full context of his comments.
