Not surprised at all. There are all kinds of heartwarming stories of government waste, like the guy on foodstamps who bought cases of pop only to dump it all out in the parking lot and take back the bottles for cash.

It always takes a minute for O'Keefes lies to be exposed.

Comes out when the raw video is examined or those he approached who ahut him down come forward.

O'Keefe got convicted in CA for a video where he claims a worker was commiting improper acts.

Turned out the guy had called the cops and was trying to keep him there 'til the cops arrived.

They're against the program itself, and Obama.

I would be happy to examine actual information. Discuss ways to prevent fraud.

My area of NE Ohio has already received more rain this year than we got all last year, according to reports I am receiving! Were you a victim of that large storm system? Is that why you were without power? I'm in Texas, as you know, and they really would like some rain here... :shrug:

The problem is that the entire plan is FUBAR. Spun way out of control. Nothing you discuss is going to matter. The underlying objective of Obama is to get more folks dependent on government redistribution, which is exactly what this is. The abuse was horrifically enabled when expanded to cell phones. And then it was like Christmas to harvest more dependency.

Jeezus Christ. In four years Obama has increased food stamp rolls from 30 mil to over 48 mil. The Obama Admin has run ads in Mexico, in Spanish, to explain how to qualify for food stamps once they swim the river. Get here. Get dependent. And then vote for more.

I have a hardon for O'Keefe.

He eptiomises deceptive persuasive messaging.

His videos are inflammatory, but deliberately misleading.

I'm frankly dismayed so many take what he says at face value.

There's a TED talks about why we won't admit we're wrong. Part of our hard wiring.

So scum like O'Keefe tell lies, knowing once someone buys into one, their hardwiring will cause them to refuse to accept that they have been lied to.

Cognitive Neuroscience. How we process information, decide what to believe, our relationships to language.

Hard science about what makes us "tick" used against us by those who understand how we come to believe things on a fundamental level, using that knowledge to convince us of what their customers want us to believe.

Its not brainwashing, but accurate estimates of the percentage who will be swayed can be determined.

And while some countries actually license its practitioners, and hold them to strict standards of what is acceptable, there is no regulation at all in the States. Even though lying is becoming more and more scientific.

I'm pretty sure, just like promising to pull troops out of Iraq by the end of 2010, or when ever it was, he also promised free cell phones, in the debates before he was president. Thing is, both these things were already set in stone, and he knew it. He was appeasing the ignorant masses.

Just like he wants to take credit for pulling troops out of Iraq, He needs to take responsibility for the phones. If he admits that he had no control over the SOFA with Iraq signed by president Bush, then I will accept your position he doesn't own the cell phone debacle.

I did not think you could prove it. I love watching you guys making **** up, and then getting outrages at the **** you make up, and by god it is all Obama's fault you are outraged....

It is hilarious in this thread watching documented facts getting put forward, and then just ignored in favor of blaming Obama. Facts, context, reality, none of those things are important to some of the conservative posters in this thread, because they have to bitch about Obama. Where it gets hilariously sad is that there are so many things that are completely legit that you all could blame Obama for, things that matter, and yet you all go for lies.
