Secret Service: Man wrote ‘KKK forever’ and threatened to shoot Obamas

A West Virginia man was being held in jail on Monday after he threatened the life of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in a letter filled with racial slurs.
According to The Associated Press, an affidavit from a Secret Service agent said that Kirker had written to someone named John in March that he planned to kill the president. Investigators were able to determine that both letters were written by the same person.


Kirker had asked John to travel with him to Washington, D.C., and said that he could obtain armor-piercing ammunition, according to federal court records. Special Agent Ken Skaggs confirmed that the Secret Service had visited Kirker’s home in June 2012 to investigate threats in a third letter.
Skaggs noted that one letter asked the president visit McMechen “so that the author can have ‘a shot’ at him,” adding that “if the first lady comes along, she will be killed also.” That letter also included racial slurs.

I've seen some of the signs that get held up along their motorcade that never make the news. Some of them are pretty vile but that is their right to do so.

I don't like his power grabs. They are a DANGEROUS precedent!

But smiley Joe would be infinitely worse!

I suspect Obama keeps Biden around as life insurance.

Obama looks GOOD by comparison.

I cared enough to see how you'd respond. You took the time to post something like this, I wanted to see where you were going with it. You didn't stretch it to call us a racist country. For that I applaud you.

I still don't care that some 80 IQ KKK sympathizer/member decided to land himself in jail. Stupid people do stupid things, what else is new.

As much as I don't like the guy, Obama getting assassinated would quite possibly be the worst possible thing in the world to happen to this country. The race riots would be unlike anything you've ever seen, quite possibly worse then the police violence during the Civil Rights Movement.

This country nearly exploded when a Latino shot a 17 year old black kid who was beating him to a pulp. Could you imagine whats going to happen if some white redneck actually killed the first black president? Joe Biden as president would be the least of our concerns.

who said it wasn't? I never really understand why people make huge hay out of these incidents. Are they unfortunate? Sure, but it's one of those things associated with high profile politicians. It's even why we expanded the secret services mandate

Smiley Joe is vastly underestimated. He's been quite successful in his political career if you care to look at it objectively.

We went to a party this last Saturday. After wearing tuxedo I swear I looked like one!

My comprehension is just fine as a professional writer. I think the problem is you aren't aware of what YOU wrote. It was disparaging to blacks as a whole and you don't have a clue. You're probably one of those guys that woukd say "some of my best friends are black" and not know what is wrong with that statement.

Racism will always exist there is no doubt about it, and that's because there will always be stupid people. Racism is one of the stupidest reasonings to hate someone. I believe people are just to lazy or stupid to come up with a good enough reason to hate someone so they just blame it on their color which just proves them as being idiots!!

You're reading comprehension is obviously lacking. The only time I used the word black, was to describe the president and TM. I didn't use the word black to describe the race riots or who would participate in them, nor did I use the word black to describe the people who would be pissed off.

Never did I categorize blacks to say that they would be the only ones upset over a hypothetical assassination. You're the one who said "you people" said that would happen after the first election, and I'm the one categorizing? Get a clue.
