Black Leaders : Immigration Bill Will 'Harm' African American Workers

The government shouldn't be in the business of protecting one group over another though.

I don't support illegal immigration but that isn't because I'm concerned about the jobs of high school drop outs.

It is the government's job to protect and secure our borders. So yes it is their job to protect its citizens.

There must be an agenda to this amnesty proposition. The government or a particular regime within the government must stand to gain from such a massive influx of new citizens - but how? This will undoubtedly hurt the job market and the economy in turn, what could possibly be beneficial from this?... Tax dollars? lol

also, there is a lot of disdain for the white working poor in democratic and liberal circles. Just one of those strange ironies of our current political system
