“Is McCarthy someone you admire?” reporter Todd J. Gillman wondered.

“I’m not going to engage in the back and forth and the attacks,” Cruz replied, declining to distance himself from McCarthy.

The thing the GOP most worries about is that they aren't in control at this time in our history - all else is irrelevant when they are in power.

I think it would be more like an arena along the lines of the Thunderdome with mixed martial arts fighters. Ted Cruz is proud of his refusal to compromise - 100 of him would result in chaos at a minimum - but hey, you can dream, it's your right to hold all the fantasies you wish

Here is a good example of how the left wing operates. They compare Cruz to McCarthy on the basis that they think they look alike. That is all they need to start questioning him about McCarthy. Then, he won't comment on such a stupid comparison, so the nut bags then say he "declined to distance himself from McCarthy".

I haven't heard Obama distance himself from Mussolini, should we ask him about that?
