And another reporter, who investigated Fast & Furious, steps forward to reveal her computer has also been hacked. She is conferring with her attorneys and will be revealing more in the next few days.
Sharyl Attkisson, the Emmy-award winning CBS News investigative reporter, says that her personal and work computers have been compromised and are under investigation.

"I can confirm that an intrusion of my computers has been under some investigation on my end for some months but I'm not prepared to make an allegation against a specific entity today as I've been patient and methodical about this matter," Attkisson told POLITICO on Tuesday. "I need to check with my attorney and CBS to get their recommendations on info we make public."

......

Attkisson told WPHT that irregular activity on her computer was first identified in Feb. 2011, when she was reporting on the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal and on the Obama administration's green energy spending, which she said "the administration was very sensitive about." Attkisson has also been a persistent investigator of the events surrounding last year's attack in Benghazi, and its aftermath.

Who knows, maybe it was Rupert Murdock and his crew? You know, the guy that owns Fox News? They (Murdock et al.) have been caught tappin' numerous times, did you know that?

Yeah I know who owns Fox News, who Rupert Murdoch is and that your reply is pretty much the most asinine thing I've read today.:applaud

Oh? It's not true that Murdoch and his crew tapped into emails, computers and phones then?

Holy Crap.

Oh? It's not true that Murdoch and his crew tapped into emails, computers and phones then?

:) You just keep holding on to that hope, Middleground. Hey! Maybe it was the Chinese! They've been hacking people, too, after all...

They must think Obama is a micromanager? Heck where would he find the time to do such things being out on the golf course 24/7?

Holy Crap.

:D I can't wait to see what an Obama administration that no longer has the Press running interference for it, but rather fulfilling its' watchdog role looks like.

Or maybe it was Mr. Mustard in the Library with the hacking software?

 we are taught in the military that as a commander you are responsible for everything that happens or fails to happen in your command.

Obama = Responsibility but =/= Administration

As a general rule, this is the power of staffing. You don't have to direct if you fill the power slots with the right people who know what needs to be done, etc.

Or maybe it was Mr. Mustard in the Library with the hacking software?

Or, more likely, it was the DoJ, who seems to have picked up the habit of going after reporters.

 but you keep running after Mr Murdoch. Because the idea that a CBS reporter would cover for an illegal FOX incursion is totally plausible

Under your rules then, you no doubt blame the Bush Administration for 9/11. After all, he was chief commander at the time, eh.

Well Mr. Murdoch is a known tapper. You seem to be in great denial about that. :(

If people in his command were behind 9/11, as some of the more excitable left wing folks claimed, then yes, absolutely.

Not at all. So is China. Both are equally unlikely to be behind this particular tapping. You seem to be in great denial about that :(.

Ah, so now they have to be behind it. Not like on the ball, or doing their job well. It's more like if an Administration has known (or soon to be known!) terrorists among them. Gotcha.

From the OP:

Neither China nor FOX has a particularly strong reason to try to tap her, but the administration does. Furthermore, this matches the recent M.O. that we've seen. A press person pisses off the administration, or threatens the administrations control of its' own image, and suddenly that person is under investigation.

Ah, so now they have to be behind it.

No, they have to be involved in it. You are responsible for everything that happens in your command. Not everything that happens. For example, Obama is not responsible for Syria gassing its' people. He would be responsible if we found out that CIA agents had sold him the chemical weapons to do so under his watch. Syria's actions are outside his command, the CIA's are inside his command.

This is not a terribly complicated concept, and frankly, I know enough about you at this point to know that you are smart enough to grasp it. Don't play dumb - no one here will believe you.

I am not in denial about all of that. I'm fully aware that Big Brother is alive and well and that the Obama Administration has done nothing to change that.

I just wanted to give you Fox Newsers a little bit of a reality check and inject some perspective here. Love the outrage over journalists being tapped when the owner of your preferred news service has been found guilty of doing just that. It's ****ing hilarious, actually.

One thing is for certain, politics is not a gentleman's game.

 I'm fully in favor of the Government of Britain throwing the book at every single individual in Murdoch's empire found to be guilty of tapping into people's phones, from his kid, to the red haired lady, to Piers Morgan. But there is a distinct difference between someone abusing another, and government abusing it's citizens - for government is granted all the coercive power of the state, it's reach is global, and it can force you to support it in doing so. It's not ****ing hilarious that our government has started to abuse its' power. It's ****ing worrisome, especially given that politicians are politicians, and that the next GOP administration will be equally tempted to use the venues already laid out by the Obama administration for a little bit of payback. This is how states' descend into bannana-republics. It's not ****ing hilarious at all.

Probably never was, but it's so "in-your-face" these days that it can't be ignored.

When one enters politics, principals are thrown out the window. Along with the truth and a decency. It is win at any cost in anyway.

You forgot to mention Murdoch himself. But yeah... all of 'em.

Has started??? Tell me Will, when do you think all of this citizenry tappin' started? You make it seem like it was yesterday.

The next GOP tempted? LOL Seriously, Will, where have you been???
