Republicans Altered Benghazi Emails, CBS News Report Claims [W:361]

You are being pedantic. The fact is that GOP members misrepresented the content of those emails. Another word for "misrepresented" is "lied".

What's wrong with the Republicans lying about this? If they don't lie, they don't have squat. It's a perfect opportunity to lie like hell and then claim misquoted or misrepresented or partisan skulldeggery. Give these guys a break because they're working their asses off trying to gum up gov't. It's working.

If Democrats had done this, it would be another "scandal". When it comes to "scandal", Repubs are the experts on the subject.

It's ironic that the repubs are going ape **** because the president lied, and they're trying to prove he lied by lying about what those emails said :lamo

Speaking of FACTS, did the GOP release an EMAIL?

Comical...did you happen to catch Jay Carney's Friday press conference...lie indeed...:lamo

I have no idea why you ask, but I suspect it has to do with some more pedantry

I ask because that is the assertion in the OP, you know the basis of the thread...WTF do you think we are talking about?

pedantry indeed...:lamo

Doesn't anyone else find it ironic that CBS is claiming someone else faked a letter?

So IOW, it's OK for the republicans to lie about the emails because they didn't "release" the emails? :lamo

Just as I suspected - more pedantry

Now the right is demonstrating their lack of pendantry by complaining how the president said "act of terror" and not "act of terrorism" :lamo

So your response is ad hominem? classic liberal meme...:lamo

ps. If you wish to continue using 'pedantry' please spell it correctly...:lamo

And yes, I'm being spelling Nazi but once is forgiven but continuance merely reflects ignorance...

So your response is ad hominem? classic liberal meme...:lamo
describing the display of useless knowledge or minute observance of petty rules or details...is not an attack on ones person.

You might want to learn what an ad hom is. It does not mean what you seem to think it means

What's hilarious is that all this phony outrage is over nothing. Seriously if this is the best you can liberals can do to try and derail Benghazi that speaks volumes. It was the Obama Administration that edited talking points 12 times. Not the GOP. The GOP released a summary of the emails that was completely consistent to what was contained in those emails. That's a scandal to The Left, but Benghazi and 4 dead Americans whose deaths could have been prevented isn't. Lying about how and why they died to their grieving families as they stood next to their coffins IS NOT A SCANDAL to liberals, but the GOP releasing a summary that is consistent to what is contained within emails IS. That is what the pathetic Left has been reduced to.

They are trying to obfuscate, deflect and discredit the opposition because they can't refute the facts. They can't excuse Obama's lies so they have to try and minimize and discredit the opposition with lies. It's what they always do. Romney was evil, killed some guy's wife and didn't pay his taxes remember? Not going to work this time. I'm just curious how these morally bankrupt pathetic excuses of Americans can sleep at night defending the endless corruption and lies emanating from the oval office.

your bias is showing
you insist that the GOP's document release is consistent with the actual emails
when in fact those emails were manipulated and spun against the Obama administration
your side has nothing on the Obama administration so it keeps attempting to fabricate something to be outraged about

The Obama Administration looks bad on it's own. They knew the youtube video excuse was a lie and they went ahead with it anyways. They revised their "talking points" which were actually "talking lies" for political expediency. Obama and Hillary KNOWINGLY LIED to the grieving families of those who died in benghazi as they stood next to their coffins. The summary released by the GOP is consistent with what is contained within the emails. You're just pathetically trying to deflect and obfuscate because you can't refute the facts.

How do you sleep at night knowingly shilling for such corruption and dishonesty? How do you sleep at night knowing you're defending a President who lied to the faces of grieving families and was AWOL when they were being attacked and murdered by terrorists?

Don't be bringing GWBush into this discussion-"How do you sleep at night knowingly shilling for such corruption and dishonesty? Read the link. He's a car thief. Not to mention he apparently assisted in the Wide Receiver gun walking fiasco, and one has to wonder why he wanted to get guns to Mexican drug lords.

As to the emails, they were altered while in his commission's hand, so it's fair to say one of his operatives altered them.

Talk about a BACK FIRE!

What’s Issa’s word worth? Not much, except as a warning that what you’re hearing may likely be inaccurate. For example, Issa claims he was always given “highest marks” by the Army and had provided “security” to then President Nixon, but a reporter dug into his past and found that Nixon had not even attended the events Issa’ claimed to have provided security for, and Issa was known as a car thief in the army (separate incident from his later more well known arrests for car theft).

Furthermore, “In May of 1998, Lance Williams, of the San Francisco Examiner, reported that Issa had not always received the “highest possible” ratings in the Army. In fact, at one point he “received unsatisfactory conduct and efficiency ratings and was transferred to a supply depot.” Williams also discovered that Issa didn’t provide security for Nixon at the 1971 World Series, because Nixon didn’t attend any of the games.”

Issa was soon after arrested for stealing a red Maserati, but the judge dropped those charges around the time that Issa was arrested in a separate incident for having a .25 Colt and “44 rounds of ammo and a tear gas gun and two rounds of ammo for it.” Just the kind of guy you want leading your party, especially when your party stands for vigilante justice via the NRA. Issa pleaded that case down to a lesser charge.

Just when things started to look up for Issa in the Army, he was arrested yet again for car theft, but this time he was also indicted for grand theft. The prosecution ended up dropping that case after smoke and mirrors coupled denial and some fancy Issa footwork. That didn’t stop Issa from committing hit and run soon after evading prosecution.

After that narrow escape from the law, Issa was suspected by officials of arson and accused of firing an employee by giving him a box with a gun in it. While investigating the arson charges, authorities realized that they could not trace the original capital Issa used to start his business. Shady dealings, but Issa once again managed to escape the law, but not their suspicion. All of this adds up to a great criminal resume for a henchman, and that is what Issa is for the GOP.

Not only is this irrelevant on this site, it would be irrelevant in the MSM.

then disprove ANY portion of it
you won't
because you can't
what you can and will continue to do is sit there with your fingers in your ears and blinders over your eyes and pretend these facts do not exist

You are being pedantic. The fact is that GOP members misrepresented the content of those emails. Another word for "misrepresented" is "lied".

Let me be further pedantic. Since Jay Carney stated that congressmen could view and take notes but not copy or photograph the emails:

Would 'taking notes' on an email verbatim constitute 'copy' (which was forbidden)?

If yes, did the GOP have any other choice but paraphrase the emails? And having 'paraphrased' did they have any other choice but furnish this to Karl? Further, IF they had released the email's text verbatim wouldn't they be under scrutiny for violating there 'no copy rule'?

If no, then why didn't the WH just release the emails during the Brenan confirmation? I mean there out now what's the difference between then and now?

The answer is "No" and "because they knew the publicans would lie about it."

So then why didn't they just release them? OR tell the GOP they could 'copy' them verbatim? Or are you suggesting this was a ploy to get the GOP to lie then the WH release the emails to trap them?

If they just released them, they would have lost the opportunity to catch the publicans lying.

And the publicans were so stupid, they fell for it
