Claim: Obama campaign co-chair attacked romney with leaked irs docs

Your standard seems to be "let terrorists and murderers walk into any gun store and let them buy whatever they feel like."

that's already illegal

The search should be LOCATION +CORRUPTION.
Chicago About 1,770 results (0.34 seconds)
Texas About 179 results (0.27 seconds)
Nevada About 55 results (0.39 seconds)
New York About 362 results (0.29 seconds)

The OP used the term "politics", so thats what I used. Adding the + sign to the search gives false postive results. Without it, the corruption becomes more evident......but you probably knew that already.

Texas corruption - About 53,900,000 results (0.23 seconds)

Chicago corruption - About 19,500,000 results (0.15 seconds)

Nevada corruption - About 5,520,000 results (0.16 seconds)

Are you surprised that Nevada's corruption is so low? I am.

But if the terrorists and murders are "buying" from "gun stores" then doesn't that suggest the need for better back ground checks?

Actually, no. Please will you (or anyone) lay out the basic operators. I tried to find an explanation of the + operator and couldn't find any results so who knows what those results werre that I was so proud of:3oops:

Now I tried "corrupt Chicago politics" and got About 464,000 results (0.24 seconds) so I'm convinced I don't know WTF I am doing.

Without a background check there's nothing preventing it.

other than 10 years in federal prison if you have a record and the feds charge you

but so few prohibited persons try to buy from gun shops or gun shows and when they do, the government does nothing to punish them

you labor under the delusion that people who know they won't pass a check don't buy guns.

No. Harry Reid completely fabricated his bull**** claim that "Romney hadn't paid taxes for 10 years". Who needs documents when you can just make this stuff up?
I would agree with you, but I don't think Harry, accomplished liar that he is, would make this stuff up unless there was a fragment of truth somewhere in it. I think Mitt probably didn't pay a hell of a lot in taxes during those years. None? BS. But Harry knew he could make the claim and never be called on it. This is the kind of crap we get from our liberal brethren.

The difference between NONE and "not a hell of a lot" is enormous. "Hell of a lot" is subjective, a million isn't a "hell of a lot" to Romney and we're not talking percentages either. Reid claimed NONE and I am certain that is a LIE.

He was called on it and it was so ridiculous, I find it hard to believe it was given any credibility even by idiots.

Whats the difference between Chicago politics and Texas politics?

When I typed "corrupt Chicago politics" into Google search the results were....

About 6,850,000 results (0.16 seconds)

When I typed "corrupt Texas politics" into Google search the results were....

About 89,800,000 results (0.46 seconds)

Texas is 82,950,000 times more corrupt than Chicago.

Georgia is also more corrupt than Chicago.....About 10,800,000 results (0.31 seconds)

So is Florida....About 9,650,000 results (0.37 seconds)

So is South Carolina....About 49,100,000 results (0.30 seconds)

So is New York.......About 65,200,000 results (0.33 seconds)

So is California......About 14,500,000 results (0.32 seconds)

But nobody seems to beat Texas for corruption results. Conclusion, Texas is the most corrupt state in the Union.

So the OP is sorta right, you elect a Texas politician, you get Texas politics....and my, didn't it show when GWBush was president. No sooner had the door hit him in the butt, Republicans couldn't leave the GOP party fast enough to change their lean to Libertarian.

Odd, I checked those numbers and for Texas I got, "About 11,900,000 results (0.48 seconds)"

Hard to say not knowing what you typed in the search box.

Few prohibited persons buy from gun shops because there's a background check.

You have no idea how many prohibited persons purchase guns at a gun show because nobody checks.

not all that many bought before the brady bill-you see before the BGC you still had to fill out the form and that meant a perjury charge

I do know how many people buy at gun shows.

the DEPT of justice does all kinds of studies

Less than 2% of prisoners surveyed said gun shows.

most sales at gunshows are with licensed dealers.

If you had gone to 200 or more gun shows as I have you'd know that

if you have sold guns working for a licensed FFL at shows Like I have, you'd know that

and if you know lots of law enforcement officers as I do, you'd know that big gunshows CRAWL with cops, agents etc-many of whom are selling or buying guns or gear or working for those who sell

Yeah, he was, and you're right. But, as ever, you know he didn't get the idea on his own. Mitt's taxes were an issue because he allowed them to be. The liberal meme at the time was that the rich got richer because Bush allowed them the possibility, enabled it, even. The left wasn't running so much against Romney as they were against the idea of privilege, and Romney fit the bill perfectly. So the tax thing flew, even though it was bogus. That's what lies will get ya in politics. Of course, it also gets you what we're seeing now.

i really beg to differ, more results just means more liberals harp on texas, and afterall it is the biggest of the southern states, yet the second most liberal.no one calls texas liberal but when compared to other southern states, its not very conservative at all.

for a fun excercise i can google violence in ows,and violence in the tea party, and ows has about 1.5 million results, yet the tea party has 86 million results.but the tea parties actual recorded acts of violence is almost non existent and involved by members who act independant of the tea party.while ows had no real leadership and recorded violence exceeded the tea party rallies by epic proportions.it just shows liberal bloggers are typically angry and think they should voice their anger despite any logic or proof of their anger.

even further most of those blogs are people claiming the tea party as viiolent fringe group, with the only evidence of that they believe their views are violent, while blindly defending a group that cant go anywhere without mass violence or public desecration.

Hmm, thats what I got this time, too. I dunno. It's not exactly scientific is it? lol

corrupt Texas politics ---About 11,700,000 results (0.18 seconds)

corrupt Chicago politics ----about 6,840,000 results (0.25 seconds)

You realize that your one city's corruption has almost as many results as an entire state, our largest state?!?

NTL, the result numbers seem to match the chart on state corruption.....

Investigating Corruption Risk in Your State Government - State Integrity Investigation

I see no comparable numbers, just state rankings based on grades. Care to cite them?

All things being equal....it looks about right.....

Tea Party violence - About 39,800,000 results (0.23 seconds)

Occupy Wall Street violence - About 24,700,000 results (0.19 seconds)

Guilty until proven innocent, the conservative McCarthy way.

What's McCarthy have to do with it?

It was FDR that built the concentration camps.

Texas not only has 10 times MORE elected officials, it has more Latino elected officials.

You realize that your one city's corruption has almost as many results as an entire state, our largest state?!?
Uh no, I didn't realize that. Okay, then just for fun, lets compare cities....

corrupt Dallas politics - About 5,710,000 results (0.23 seconds)

corrupt Houston politics - About 6,010,000 results (0.23 seconds)

corrupt Chicago politics - About 6,840,000 results (0.15 seconds)

Close enough.

I see no comparable numbers, just state rankings based on grades. Care to cite them?
Now that you mention it, neither do I. The state corruption chart is probably more accurate anyway...scientifically speaking that is.

Texas is still more corrupt than Illinois.

So you folks on the left are saying "IF" the IRS or an IRS employee leaked confidential data on a presidential candidate that's ok? Really?

Now if you want say it didn't happen fine, let the source put up or shut up, but to say it doesn't matter?

Not to your original claim of being "82,950,000 times as corrupt" considering that those are LESS than Chicago.

Now that you mention it, neither do I. The state corruption chart is probably more accurate anyway...scientifically speaking that is.

I wouldn't call those standards scientific, they're academic at best.

Texas is still more corrupt than Illinois.

Because of google search results? Also not scientific. But I guess that's why you posted this sentence in the smallest possible font.

There is a reason you feel the need to make this claim. I cant think of any corruption I've heard of from Texas in the past 2 decades, yet when I think of Political Corruption at all my mind goes straight to Chicago (Chicago politics, Blagojevich, Mayor Daley, etc... I could go on all day w/ examples.)

Are folks on the right trying to saying that the tea party isn't political?
