Pelosi: Sequestration Preventing Me from Visiting Troops on Mother's Day

I bet the troops are grateful! :)

I think it would have been similar to a visit from the Bubonic Plague.

So go on your own dime, lady.

From the op link

"Every year for the past few years, on Mother's Day, I've gone--I've taken a delegation--into Afghanistan or Iraq, "

So other than to take herself and a "delegation", to thank the troops, why was she doing these trips? Seems she has been burning taxpayers money.

glad we are able to save this year.

Meanwhile, mothers everywhere are celebrating mother's day by working two jobs to raise a child.

Then God Bless sequestration...

I won't be going this particular weekend because we don't have--you know, under sequestration, we don't have codels."

Is that what politicians spend when they go on junkets to try to gain political points, codels? Why not spend some of the dollars they keep printing?

Ohh the sequester is "soo good"

The sequester brings more good news.

It never amazes that the average Democrat always considers public policy in the "me" frame. Note that Pelosi isn't concerned about people not being able to take their mother on a tour of the White House on mother's day, as an example, but only on how it affects her personally.

Perhaps Nancy's children and grandchildren have the most to lose now that she won't be away.

Thank Obama. Sequestration was his baby.

NBC’s David Gregory today pressed Obama’s chief economic advisor, Gene Sperling, whether his boss told the truth in the third presidential debate that “the sequester is not something that I’ve proposed. It is something that Congress has proposed.” Sperling finally wilted under the pressure of tough questioning to admit that “yes, in fact, the sequestration was President Obama’s plan.”

Jack Lew, in his confirmation hearings, conceded on February 13 that the sequester originated in the White House.

Sequester was obama's bastard child, he conceived it but when it was on the verge of delivery he wanted a late term abortion.

Silly religious nuts, always raising a stink over 5th trimester abortions.

Someone needs to tell Nancy that the American People aren't all bent out of shape by sequestration like she is. That way she won't be going around making a fool out of herself.

Wait i thought you liked the sequester? Dont you? And it was also congresses "baby"

I do... but I saw you were whining and being a typical Socialist. Painting a false picture.

I'd like to see a sequestration about 10 times larger.
