Every year, one million babies die the day they're born according to a new report by Save the Children. The charity's Mothers' Index looks at the likelihood of death during pregnancy or labour, and finds many of the deaths can be prevented. It also examines the difficulties women face when they become mothers. Despite its economic prosperity, America is one of the worst places in the industrialised world to become a mother.
