The GOP doesn't have anyone who could beat Hillary Clinton.
"Better days are coming." ~ But not for today's out of touch, running out of time, GOP.
Time will tell... but the Family has issues with honesty. The nation knows that. But... she does have a vagina going for her. Perhaps that's the D's ticket this time.
LOL This makes Christie's chances of being elected president in 2016 greater, unfortunately for him it decreases his chances of being nominated by the Republican Party.
Christie: Obama 'Has Kept Every Promise He's Made' On Sandy Relief | TPM LiveWire
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) said Monday that despite the criticism he's taken from some on the right for his embrace of President Barack Obama following Superstorm Sandy, the popular Republican wouldn't have done anything differently.
Appearing on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on the six-month anniversary of Sandy, Christie was asked by host Joe Scarborough if he regrets his bipartisan response to the storm, which battered the Northeast a week before last year's election.
"No. No," the normally outspoken Christie said.
Christie then elaborated, saying he wasn't concerned about the presidential election in the immediate aftermath of Sandy.
"I say the same thing to all my critics, no matter where they are on the spectrum, that is I've got a job to do. And the fact is there was nothing else that ever crossed my mind in the days after," Christie said. "You wake up on Tuesday, October 30th, 7 million of your 8.8 million citizens out of power, there's not a school opened, not a water treatment or waste water treatment plant is operational. Fifty-one gas stations in the whole state are open. You're not sitting there worrying about presidential politics, Joe."
Christie said that while he was a supporter of 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney — and disagrees with Obama virtually across the board — he has to tip his hat to the President's response to Sandy.

Christie sounds like he lets honesty and integrity get in the way of being partisan.
It used to work in politics, but I think it might be considered a bit old fashioned now.
you are welcome to have that opinion, its unrealistic but you are welcome to have it.
Florida gets hit by a hurricane nearly every year. Between 1851 and 2009, Florida was hit by 114 hurricanes, including 44 Cat1's. New Jersey was hit by a total of 2 hurricanes (both Cat1).Then why does my state have 11bn in its paying capacity just for hurricanes?

Not according to any current polls.
Christie get nominated by the Dems? Never happen!
Current polls are meaningless. I do not believe either Biden or Hillery will be the Democrats nominee for 2016. I would look for new faces for both parties.

Christie has openly condemned 100% of all Republican members of Congress, after giving Romney's keynote nominating speech ended up boycotting Romney's campaign events, and gave an unqualified endorsement of Obama as president instead.
Christie has no chance of obtaining the Republican nomination, which is reasonable given his open declaration of hatred of all Republican officials and his ongoing campaigning for Obama. For half a year, Christie has been a militant supporter of Democrats and bitter attacker of Republicans. There certainly are reasons for Democrats to love him, but in general only enemies love a backstabber.
What I meant was Christie would have a good chance of winning if he was nominated by the Republicans, but probably won't be because he got long with Obama so well.
I'm going to put you on the spot here, and ask if you see any "likelies" this early out? On both sides....
No, too far out. How about a dream match up of a couple of folks next door to you, Ex governor Daniels vs. Evan Byah. Now if the GOP really wants to get bold, Susan Martinez, Governor of NM, Hispanic and a Woman and then pick Rubio or some one from Florida as VP. The republicans can't win without taking Florida. Remember what I said about last years election being decided in the East and how I would go to bed early.
I think the Dems will stay with someone from the northeast, Cumo perhaps, if not perhaps Stabenow if she is interested. I wouldn't be surprised if Higgenlooper the Governor of CO could be a possibility. But way too far out now and all this is is a guessing game of guesses. But if the dream match up occurred, my dread match up Daniels vs. Byah, the country couldn't lose.
Current polls are meaningless. I do not believe either Biden or Hillery will be the Democrats nominee for 2016. I would look for new faces for both parties.
Christie already has my support for the GOP primaries next go 'round. He represents the cultural changed needed in our party where all too much republican patriotism has meant oppose the president on everything including things republicans first came up with even if it harms America. I might even campaign for him.

NJ and NY haven't seen a hurricane like Sandy in almost 100 years. It doesn't make sense for NJ to set aside $20 billion for those kinds of events.
By the way, Florida's hurricane fund is currently short by $12.5 billion, and considering, wait for it... a federally funded backstop. (Florida Looks to Restructure Its Hurricane Fund; Federal Option Proposed) The other solution is to reduce -- oh, sorry, "right-size" -- the catastrophe fund. I don't think increasing taxes is on the table.
Not to mention that Gov Scott did try to get a "mere" $29 million in federal funds for Isaac. FEMA declined, saying Florida could handle the costs on its own. Unsurprisingly, Florida pols protested.
Christie is one of the Republicans that I would think about voting for.
Mainly because he has shown himself to be an independent thinker.
Then why does my state have 11bn in its paying capacity just for hurricanes?
like i said you are free to have your unrealistic opinion.
that is YOUR state and how much of that was done just by YOUR STATE alone and didnt come from else where do to the idea that FLORIDA is a state COMMONLY hit with large hurricanes.
an example on a much smaller level what happens when it snows a lot in southern state that barely sees snow? typical they shut down the state and declare emergencies. Why because they dont budget for it with snow and salt trucks and people to work them etc etc but guess what, they do in PA because its common, SHould i complain that every state should be prepared for 1 foot of snow? no because its illogical and unrealistic for every state to be 100% prepared for every disaster that might happen. WHere would all the money come from for EVERY state and what would have to get cut because of it LOL
like i said you are free to have your unrealistic opinion.
It's entirely relevant. Since:Which has nothing to do with your comments that its unrealistic to put billions away for disaster aid....
Florida HASN'T. They're short $12.5 billion, or about 43%. Their solution is to either go to the feds, or reduce the fund.Florida has.
I think you should complain about whatever you want. So long as you don't go begging to me when you aren't prepared. Just like Chrisite shouldn't go begging to others when his state isn't prepared.
