Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, says she would consider running for public office herself if the opportunity presented itself.
"Right now I’m grateful to live in a city, in a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president, my senators and my representative,” Clinton told NBC News, in an interview aired on Monday. "If at some point that weren’t true and I thought I could make a meaningful and measurably greater impact, I’d have to ask and answer that question."

"Before my mom’s campaign I would have said no," Clinton told the magazine. "Not because it was something I had thought a lot about, but because people have been asking me that my whole life. And now I don't know."

Chelsea possibly hinting on running for some sort of office sometime. Might wanna keep an eye on her, she might be running sometime and has her options and support networks definitely open.

The sky is blue, water is wet and Chelsea will someday run for office. Not much surprise here.

She's a very intelligent women. In stark contrast to the GOP female types like Palin and Bachmann -- stupid all the way down.

I'm not saying she's not, but just how do you know that, other than she's not an eViL conservative. Try to drop the hate schtick if you answer.

Have you been stalking that poor girl?

I love it when tea partiers give progressives advice about politics. It's so perfectly demented, just like conservatism.

I don't think we need anymore political families like the Clintons, Kennedy, and Bush families.

Other than being the daughter of politicians....what qualifies her to run for office?

nice to see you maintain consistency on your partisan hackery

Which or course is the typical hate speech from you AND you didn't even answer the question. So put the hate aside for a moment, just how do you know "She's a very intelligent women"?

HOJ think: she's a liberal ergo she is intelligent

Bizzaro Superman say, "liberal good, conservative bad"

qualifications:

she has a degrees in history, international relations and public health
special correspondent for NBC
worked for a consulting firm

Sounds like a good start for a run at local city council. Maybe state rep using her name recognition to get there.

I'm sure Chelsea could identify with voters *sarcasm*.

I don't think everybody should be poor in order to be president but it helps to spend at least part of life realizing what everybody else deals with on a daily basis.

not saying she couldn't be a good politician, but when your best qualification is "name recognition" .....

but I agree start out small at the local level and see how she does

i admit that i like her as a person. i'd have to see her platform before getting behind anything she does politically, however. i mean, ****, if Jenna Bush jumped in the ring saying she would promote UHC and an end to interventionism, i'd vote for her and encourage others to do so. the issues are everything; the only thing that matters about the politician is whether he or she can move the issue effectively.

Oh boy! Just what America needs: More Clintons, More Kennedys, More Bushes, More Pauls, More political families. Three hundred million people and the United States can't find anyone other than political spawn of the rich and powerful political spawn.

"They will lead us. They are gifted, talented, they know things and do things we could never possibly know or do for ourselves. They are worthy in ways that we cannot hope to be. God has surely directed them to rule over us."

**** that!

Embarrassing that anyone would even take something like this seriously

Eh, a bit like being a child of a doctor, a lawyer, a plumber, a cop, a soldier and so on. It's not a qualification, but it's not particularly surprising that she'd pursue that vocation or is more likely to achieve it than others because of growing up around that lifestyle.

Dynasties are a fact of life in any walk of life.

Platform: my Mom tanked, so it's my turn.

She's a very intelligent women. In stark contrast to the GOP female types like Palin and Bachmann -- stupid all the way down.

But like her Mom, she's likely convinced that intelligence is a liability, and would rather tow the status quo instead of acting like a leader just to (try to) win the election.

Chelsea, run as fast and as far away as you can from this idea of running for office.

Embarrassing that anyone would even take something like this seriously

Yes it is very premature, I'll agree. Chelsea need to start locally while her mother starts here first term as president in 2016. Then near the end of Hillary's second term she can perhaps move up to the House or Senate.

you are half right. she is intelligent. but thinking Palin is stupid is just plain

stupid
