Turn a blind eye..they have oil..

Our association with Saudi Arabia is scandalous, and has tainted our claims about supporting democracy in the world. It is a black spot on the nation that we not only support a monarchy, but one of the most vicious and primitive ones on the planet, as well as the source of most of the world's terrorism.

Of course, Jimmy Carter understood the problem and started a program 40 years ago to wean us off imported oil (including fracking, a research project he started). If we had followed through with that, we would be free of that ugly dictatorship in SA today.

But of course the idiot Reagan ended all that. What a boob.

There is nothing wrong with our "association" with Saudi Arabia and their government is a damned sight more humane than their people want it to be. As for democratic, there's still a good portion of the world that doesn't go in for republican democracy.

Jimmy Carter didn't start ****. JFK was one of the first. He tried to end the oil depletion allowance and took other measures designed to eventually wean us off oil. EVERY POTUS thereafter has called attention to the problems of using foreign oil. IF Carter is indeed responsible for fracking then he's more of an asshole as POTUS than I previously thought. There's no way he, or Reagan, could have gotten that by the environmental movement at the time.

Nope, you are factually inaccurate (and morally obtuse)

Fracking Developed With Decades Of Government Investment

Yep that's exactly what I'm saying.

No point in responding now that words have been put in my mouth.

How disingenuous.

Yup, that's exactly what I figured - can't handle the honest decisions and results, can you?
