Any excuse for all you clowns to use the word vagina!

when we don't want to expose the kids to that word we refer to it as the SMTA

yes, i noticed you are so unconcerned about it that you managed successive posts in the thread that you do not believe should exist
thank you for that insightful opinion

Then by all means, proceed with your oh-so-serious discussion about someone who said the word vagina.

thank you
we were doing just that until you intruded
and when we are finished i will be looking for the 'deep' topic you have introduced to us via a thread

Ahhh, terrorist-godwining the thread.

The "American Taliban" shtick is ridiculous, old, and frankly insulting to the realities of what occured under that regime in Afghanistan.

Bull****. They are related. It's all religious fanatics. Different degrees. Same **** though. Those on the right just keep shoveling the **** for the religious whack job right. All in the name of God of course. Because their God is far superior and all.

l wonder if this word is mentioned in " das kapital "

an instructor has been investigated for giving the examples of some passages from this during the class .

Well what the hell was she supposed to call it?

Maybe one of these would've been better:

- *****
- cooter
- bang hole
- ****
- poon
- bearded oyster
- twat
- meatpocket
- muff

You left out "Valley of Sin", "Chasm of Corruption", and "Demon's Maw".

Just a guess here but having lived in that general area I'm going to guess that he pissed off someone at the local temple....probably a Temple President...and they're just doing their "duty".

yes, please people do not point out the similarities between american religious extremists who kill people for their god and Islamic extremists who kill people for their god. They are two totally different things. One kills and oppresses for jesus, and one kills and oppresses for alah. That is a big difference because it is ok to kill abortion doctors, start wars, kill gays, shoot your neighbor, openly discriminate and destroy lives, and try to impose a religious tyranny if it is in the name of jesus. That is not to mention freaking the hell out at a legitimate referral to a woman's naughty bits by a scientific name in a science class which is also Ok if you do it for jesus but not if you do it for alah.

There is only one difference between the goals of the american religious extremists and those of Afganistan, and that is the level of law enforcement that cracks down on them. I will give you the concession that here in america you do face bigger penalties on some occasions than you do in afganistan. If we had a less stable government like that of afganistan there is no doubt in my mind this teacher would have been strung up for his statement because it is not the idea of divine punishment that keeps american religious extremists in check, it is fear of prison. Just like in afganistan not every person involved in christianity is part of the taliban of the country. Just that there is enough of them to create a much deadlier problem if we ever allowed them to run amok like they do in afganistan. This is just a silly issue that illustrates their presence, and that they are still crazy.

If you want to use "American Taliban" in a thread regarding some abortion clinic bomber be my guest.

However, attepmting to equate people complaining that a teacher said the word Vagina (along side other accusations, some a fair bit more serious) to the ****ing Taliban is hyperbole of the highest order.

Because clearly, a few parents being annoyed at the word Vagina being told to their high school students is similar to a regime that didn't allow girls above the age of 8 to recieve schooling. Clearly the parents upset here felt that the teacher should be thrown down steps, imprisoned, and then had his family stoned if he didn't sign a statement to subject himself to their wishes in the future similar to how the Taliban did to an underground female school teacher.

Yes...yes you're absolutely right. How ridiculous of me to suggest that comparing these parents to the Taliban is hyperbole and wrong...clearly, it's an apt comparison.

For ****s Sake.

You base your accusation off of nothing but your own hatred, bigotry, and prejudice as you proceed to state your ignorant opinion of what people would do as if it's some kind of unquestionable fact, and then you condemn them based on said ignorant opinion. To be frank, the same ridiculous accusation could be made of the hyper partisan activist extremists like yourself with just as much legitimacy. However, reaosnable people wouldn't make those claims because they don't have the ego to proclaim the ability to divine the exact actions of an entire group in a future period of time that is categorically dissimilar to the present.

Do you think that all the taliban does is train to kill people? No, they try to impose religious laws on people through legitimate means also. things like Borth Control, Abortion, women's rights, gays, sharia law, and items like that are all part of their political efforts. That is why it is appropriate to compare people who seek both violent and political means to accomplish their religious tyranny is appropriate. Again, I will give you the reality the taliban has an opening to be much miore extreme given the lack of law enforcement and a solid federal government to oppose them, but I am quite sure if the US was destabilized like afganistan that the religious extremists here in the Us would go further than they do.

Just because they know their wish would not be granted doesn't mean they did not wish for it. They are probably well aware that just the threat of violent action could land them in jail or under the watch of the law here in america.

We have seen repeated examples of the religious extremists here in america taking their ideals to violent and deadly levels. Even here on these message boards we see people who have ideals that would allow for the extremist attitudes that mirror those of the taliban being legal. I see no reason to feel that those words and actions are insincere. I am quite sure in this school there were many non-religious extremist parents who were probably a bit bothered by the inclusion of sex ed, but did not freak out because of the word vagina. Those are just regular religious people who don't go to extremes. The ones who are after this guys job are taking the only legal road they can to destroy his life. They want to destroy a man's life for the word vagina. Even that is a bit much.

Anyone a little disturbed by how it must feel to be a girl in that community and be expected to think of a part of your own body like that? They're all evil, except for the one about the womb, which is clearly more important than the girl herself. That's gotta do a lot of damage to a developing psyche.

Exactly, but God knows you can't say "Vagina." We can't go around using the appropriate term for a body part that is clearly only to be referred to as "Your Naughy Bits."

Idaho science teacher uses the word 'vagina' in sex ed lesson, gets investigated | The Daily Caller

The state of Idaho’s professional-standards commission is investigating a science teacher in the tiny, rural town of Dietrich, because four parents have objected to his use of the word “vagina” in a 10th-grade biology lesson on human reproduction.
In addition to saying “vagina,” McDaniel stands accused of describing the biological processes that lead to a human orgasm, discussing birth control, and telling unseemly jokes to his sophomore charges, reports the Times-News of nearby Twin Falls, Idaho.
The group of unnamed parents has also complained that there was an in-class video clip detailing genital herpes infection.
Still another complaint levied by the concerned parents is that McDaniel showed the documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” in class. The parents say showing professional politician Al Gore’s agitprop on climate change amounts to endorsing a political candidate on school property.
A final claim by the irate parents — and arguably the most serious one — is that the science teacher revealed confidential student files to some unspecified person who is not a parent. No further information on this allegation appears to be available.

more at the link above.

You should laugh at the first line of the OP, because it's a joke. Show in what you posted that religion played a key role in this issue. What showing an unrelated Al Gore video beneficial to sex education? Well was it?

I really doubt that it has anything to do with "evil". My guess is that it's political.

There's a couple of possibilities. When I lived out that way there was a fairly significant Mennonite population and if for some reason their kids ended up in the school I could see a complaint. More likely, however, is that the teacher did something else which pissed off someone of importance in the Mormon church for that area. I can pretty much guarantee you that in an area like Twin Falls pissing off the wrong people can come with a price.

The Daily Caller? Isn't this like discussing something printed in the Enquirer? Bat boy lives!

There's one thing about yellow rags like this, they make great honeypots for the true believers.
