Al Gore Sued Over Current TV Sale to Al Jazeera (Edit)

What do I expect him to do? Oh I don't know...drive cross-country on a Prius? Commercial airline flights? Seriously, if you don't want to come off as a massive hypocrite, there are ways to do so.

And you want to talk about someone catching crap who was never POTUS? I'll invoke that "Palin" name again. She's the right's Al Gore. She gained fame from politics' version of pop culture - just as he did. She never met a camera or a microphone she doesn't love - just like he does. She's most popular because of her stupidity and wrong public moves - just like he is. Now, with you being a leftie, I'm positive that you'll disagree with that comparison...right?

Dude just comes off as a sanctimonious blowhard. Period.

Hey, he took a fledgeling network and made it worth a billion dollars. I think that's pretty damn good of him. You won't see me knock someone based on legitimate success.

I'd take this more than I would John Kerry, who turned "marrying into money" into an art form, or John Edwards, everyone's favorite class action douchebag who does the most outrageously stupid things - specifically in court.

Yes, one should always drive a Prius when crossing the pond.

Gore has always been very generous with other people's money.

Other people's money? He owned Current TV and had the right to sell it to whomever he wanted to.

Well, not quite. He had a ton of investors and they are not to happy with this sale. Thus the hubub.

Just because you do not have the capacity to understand my arguments does not mean it doesn't make sense.

It's pretty simple. Gore's a hypocrite and a liar. It was never about global warming, it was the almighty dollar.

The lawsuit against him is about his sale of the network, not what he said about global warming.

Simply put - Does the owner of a business have the right to sell his business, even if a bunch of people have a political bone to pick with him?

When it comes down to it, yes. This sale might end up upsetting me because it's possible it could end up canceling my favorite show, The Young Turks. But when push comes to shove, the owner of a business does have the right to sell it. It's possible your favorite NFL football team or NHL hockey team could be sold to a bumbling fool who makes poor decisions that cause the team to lose. That would be a bummer, but the owner does have the right to sell.

My favorite NFL team is owned by a bumbling fool who makes poor decisions that cause the team to lose.

This year, the Houston Texans were in the playoffs. Last time the Bills were in the playoffs, there were no Houston Texans.

Oh, a Bills fan. Life is tough. My condolences. If it's any help, my team has never won the Super Bowl. Some people are so negative that they say my Nebraska Cornhuskers will never win it, but I keep hoping.
