SE Cupp pulls out of CPAC until groups representing gay Republicans are embraced

There needs to be an opposition movement to the very idea and concept of gay marriage politically. I will never support gay marriage. I don't feel it's imperative to the propagation of the species. I also don't believe the concept of marriage and it's definition should be changed to suit a small group of people with specific sexual appetites.

The species seems to be propagating itself rather well anyway. A post-menopausal woman who gets re-married is also not "propagating the species." Should we not allow that either?

"The legitimate powers
of government extend to such acts
only as are injurious to others.
But it does me no injury
for my neighbor to say
there are twenty gods, or no God.
It neither picks my pocket
nor breaks my leg."

-- Thomas Jefferson

Nice quote, Josie.

I also like your sig line!
!

I never said the Federal Government should get involved in Gay Marriage. I believe the exact opposite actually. Let the states decide by a vote if they want state recognition of Gay Marriage. The people decide. That's not how the Left operates however. Even in CA gay marriage was voted down and it only took one militant gay radical in black robes to overturn the will of the people.

If you let the states decide, how can a gay couple that is married in CA, move to a state that does NOT recognize their marriage?
and the propagation of the species is a very weak argument.

Well now this is interesting. It seems that some of the people who are so fast to jump on the "unity" and "folks who agree with you 75% of the time are allies not enemies" bandwagons when it is conservatives rejecting moderates are the same ones standing up and applauding when the process goes in reverse.

The REAL question is, if this is a legitimate movement from the right, is it sincere? I highly suspect not.

From a political standpoint it would be bad news for the Leftists.

That argument is so silly, it assumes the fact that allowing LGBT people to have equal rights will somehow make straight people stop ****ing. It's ****ing ridiculous.

Kinda like gun laws. hmmm!

You are right and it is because they cannot get out of the evangelists trap because they sided with those losers. The evangelist movement is poison to winning elections. There is far too much hate there.

I think that's closer to the right direction but I would oppose even State level legislation on these issues. I really believe that these need to be addressed at the local level where accountability can be most readily assessed and repercussions will have the most impact.

There have always been Republican supporters of gay marriage. They aren't all fundamentalist Christians, ya know.

come on now, you know very well that all of a sudden (past 4 months) there's been chatter. Dont be naive.

How do you address a gay married couple moving to another location that does not recognize gay marriage?

It's their job to deal with it, not mine.

No, it would be a WIN for equal rights.

Which would mean political losses out the ass for the Left, should Republicans start winning more and more gay votes. The hate factor is the only thing that the Democrats have going for them. "Republicans hate you because fill in the blank".

We'll just chalk it up as a win for equal rights. (I really know you hate hearing that)

Don't move there!...LOL!! I would seriously re-think moving to NYC, where I can't own a gun, or buy a 32 oz. fountain drink, or get a 2 liter of Coca-Cola wth my Dominoes pizza.

If you believe your rights are going to be infringed upon in a certain part of the country, it might be a good idea not to move to that place.

But, but, but that wouldn't be "FREEDOM" now would it?

I'm pro-gay marriage, so that shows what you know. Nice job of stereotyping me, though. I thought Libbos didn't like stereotyping people like that.

Why do you automatically assume that I oppose gay marriage, just because I'm a Conservative? That kind of illustrates my point: when you all aren't able to automatically label Conservatives--like you just did--your party will lose millions of votes.

then why are you debating with me??? christ!

someone that replies "then dont move there" is someone that is against gay marriage.

You're absolutely right. I believe in freedom for all: 2nd Amendment rights, marriage rights, free speech without intimidation by some clown that doesn't like what yu have to say, etc.
