Texas Trumps Governor Moonbeam

California is a craphole that was destroyed by permanent dependency class, 3rd world immigration, primarily Mexicans. That is what Obama has planned for the entire United States. With the American culture no longer dominant, there is no way that California can ever recover.

The Obama loving Liberals now have a supermajority in the California Legislature so the permanent destruction is virtually assured.

Demographics - Texas In Focus

It is, but there've been like 5 of these threads in the last few months, and I'm done explaining this to people. Look at one of the other threads and you'll see that yes, California does have higher property values and a better educated workforce (than Texas), and also that our unemployment rate is dropping at a fairly significant pace.

However, California is NOT the 8th largest economy, but has sunk to the 11th. The unemployment rate is NOT dropping faster than Texas, nor is it as low as Texas. I don't believe you can show the bit about having a better educated workforce.

So, as I said, none of what you posted is true (any longer).

As I said, I've already gone into the details on this in a number of other threads. Believe what you want.

Perhaps you were using old numbers. The links to current info are right here in this thread.

But here's some more recent info for you (btw, I was incorrect as were you - Cali is not 8th or 11th, but 9th).

Report: California slips to world's 9th largest economy

California has long had an economy larger than most nations, but nominal growth has once again seen it slip on the top 10 list.

The state dropped to ninth on the list of world’s largest economies as measured by gross domestic product in 2010, according to a report this month from the Center for Continuing Study of the California Economy.

Brazil, with a 2010 GDP of $2.1 trillion, took the eighth spot from California ($1.901 trillion). India was 10th, at $1.7 trillion.

It also should be noted that California has been slipping steadily since the 70s when they were the 5th largest economy.

California unemployment = 9.8%
Texas unemployment = 6.1%

Don't worry, Perry and the tea partiers have assured that Texas cheap labor economy will crash in few years as education and intellectual property becomes the drivers of the future. But good luck in the hospitality industry!

You may want to check trend lines...then get back to reality..

Last time I was in Texas the grass was not too green, but the air was. Don't worry 'bout dat pollution in Tejas, Perry got it covered. On the other hand, in the 1960s Los Angeles was the 60 mile circular brown cloud you could see from the air hundreds of miles away. I flew into LA three years ago and it was more just a grey mist. A Big improvement and Texas is going in the other direction. Texas is wonderful as long as you don't breathe. Both states are good places for work, but the breathing is better in Cali.

California has the 11th largest economy on the planet, and the highest GDP of any state, by a long shot. Texas is a distant and fading second -- its policies of disenfranchising millions of hispanics and denying basic public education in order for Republicans to eek out a few more elections before the GOP goes extinct there, has doomed it to second rate status.

It also has the highest taxes....

No, mostly tax cheats are there. Intellectual property is in Silcon valley and LA. But I hear Texas really excels in gun smuggling to Mexico.

Thanks to Operation Fast and Furious, delivered by AG Eric Holder and the Obama administration. I'm sure the Texas gun shops made a bundle off their illegal activity.

That Obama sure does love to sell guns. :3oops:

He's made sure as many Americans as possible own at least two or three. What a salesman!

Yes, witness the flow of hispanics on interstate I-10 leaving Texas seeking refuge in Calyfornee, the single greatest financial catastrophy in the union (with no way out by the way) and the gang capital of the nation.

I wouldn't count California out just yet. Although it seems that they have truly painted themselves into a corner they have proven to be agile and inventive in the past.

Nevertheless, it does the heart good to see the blue model of state government trashed in such a straightforward fashion.

If California was being trashed, why is Texas the one trying to convince businesses that have already willingly choose to operate in California to leave for Texas? Seems like the real successful state wouldn't need to advertise.

Seems like the real successful state wouldn't need to advertise.

That's not true, advertisement for ANY industry, company, or state is key regardless if they are successful or not. The key is not only to be the top, but to stay on top as well. Advertisment is a big portion of that.

Just take a look at how many successful companies out there pay millions for Super Bowl commercials, although I will say most of those commercials sucked this year.
