Reagan's home could become a parking lot for Obama's library

Not to mention, Michael Reagan shot this story down himself when he said his dad didn't care about it, pointing to the length of time they stayed there and how many times they moved.

Maybe because it would be financially impossible for his voters to get there? At least they can get in a car and drive within the US.

Excuse me if most of us don't practice hero worship.

I don't see why modern day conservatives still worship Reagan even though he raised the debt ceiling 18 times and increased spending 8%.

I also don't really follow when you say we dislike humor, grace , lack of malice and succesfulness.

The same reason that the Reagan library is not in Illinois. Reagan sees himself as from California, though born in Illinois just as Obama sees himself as from Illinois, though born is Hawaii

There is no coincidence.

1)Reagan's "childhood" home is in Dixon IL, not Chicago. The apartment in question was a short stop over for the Reagan family.
All of a few months.

2)The University bought that property well before Obama was President. Are "liberals" now clairvoyant?

3)I don't think that's what the University has in mind for that land. But all it takes for the frothing of the mouth to begin is 2 pieces of information that don't have anything to do with one another to reach the crazies and VOILA, instant drama.
a) the University is bidding to house Obama's Presidential Library
b) the University is thinking of bull dozing an apartment building that once housed the Reagan family for a few months, which BTW they purchased
years before the election of President Obama.

How long did he live there? Unless it was pretty much his entire childhood, and especially if it was only a couple years or less, then I'm failing to see the outrage.

I'm all for saving some historic places, but don't feel the need to save literally everything.

It'd be more expensive to get in the car and drive from out of state than to book a flight. Accommodations once there can be expensive or cheap no matter what state the library resides.

However, if I were the state he'd chosen as his home state, I'd be fairly pissed off he didn't choose to put his library there.
 
I personally am sick of politicians being treated like Demi-God Rock Stars...and I don't care who they are from Washington up...seriously. Politicians are hired by the people to run ****ing government...and I think it was originally setup that it be done in such a way that it was for and by the people...but that's turned to total ****!

If anybody needs a library in his or her name...****, Homer Simpson deserves it more than any politician.
