Just one of the many reasons and evidence I will continue to fight the fight my friend turtledude....for the working class and the underpaid working class and the underemployed working class...

The findings bring into sharper relief existing evidence that average Americans are getting squeezed ever tighter, while the country's wealthiest watch their fortunes explode. In 2010, the annual median wage fell to $26,364, its lowest level since 1999, according to a separate study. The decline in wages may have, in part, contributed to growing wealth inequality, resulting in a member of the 1 percent's worth equaling 288 times that of the median U.S. household, the Economic Policy Institute found in a report released in September.

so your solution is to take from those who earn wealth to enrich the pimps in government? LOL you are being played.

if dem class warriors were actually poor you might have a point. But many of them are uber wealthy and use people like you as pawns in their schemes.

You miss the entire point...see the middleclass and poor cant stop the pigs from robbing them...so by letting the govt be the buffer at least they have something...its like Im hoping walmart gets unionized and the employees get a little more...walmart can afford it...

Food stamps are up, who pays for that? the middle class

Disability claims up- who pays for that? the middle class

Unemployment up - hurts the middle class

Apparently you are failing to see who is leading this country into that hole.

And the millions of poor that depend on Wal Mart for low prices? How can they afford it? More food stamps maybe?

Walmart cant raises their prices much...who the hell would go there a put up with lines and crap...every walmart im in have less than half their checkout lanes open and the lines are backed up everywhere...ask an employee why and the answer is most always the same...they cut back hours or they arent hiring...theres not enough of us....ever walk around walmart...The shut the freakin lights off...in cycles half the stores lights are off half are on...if you walk from the lighted half to the unlighted old people cant see well...then your either sweating or freezin in the store...personally I think walmart sucks and I go there rarely.

That is you and that may be fine for you but some of us can't afford " better " or for them just to raise prices so a union due and union bureaucrat can be paid. I go to Wal Mart at 6 to 6:30 am and never have lines, but I do get delayed at the ammo counter when I've saved a little to buy some extra.

Calgun your argument stinks man...walmart giving more to thier employees is not raising anything through the roof...walmart isnt that cheap anyway...anything you buy in walmart you can get somewhere else and online...we dont NEED WALMART neither do the poor any more than anything else or any other stores...

You are woefully mistaken. I shop hard for good deals because I'm pretty limited in my resources. My 24x7 Wal Mart has some food items only Costco can compete with and few others. Most of my clothing is Wal Mart now and it holds up quite well and has cost me much less than other stores products in years past.

You are demanding Wal mart raise prices for the good of a few at the cost of many. A polar opposite to your soak the rich taxing philosophy.

Walmart is the biggest employer in America and a majority of the people they hire would have a hard time getting work elsewhere due to not being very sharp pencils. So, they are the employer of last resort for over 2 million people who would be on the dole without them.

I think Walmart pays around $10 per hour, not a living wage but not useless either. Combine 2 Walmart workers and you can lead a decent low-middle class life. If I would exempt anybody, I would exempt Walmart. And no, I don't shop there. I'm to old to buy ANYTHING let alone need something I can't get for less on the internet. But Walmart is the jobs and a place for the poor to shop.

& how did that plan work out between 1999 & 2010?

Of course, if Bush were president, this would be his fault. Lol.

Many are on the dole WITH them, and Wal-Mart counts on that. The tax payers are subsidizing Wal-Mart's work force whether we like it or not. I would rather Wal-Mart pay them enough so we didn’t have to do that.

Actually, in a perfect world I would like Wal-Mart to stop going into communities putting smaller, better paying establishments out of business. Wal-Mart has perfected the art of converting decent paying jobs in communities into low paying jobs. And we happily say “more please”.

You enjoy making statements for others that are either totally absurd or just silly....that could kind of make the accuser look silly...

Dont bait. Or at least get better at it.

Your the one tried to bait and you need to back up and read the original post that started the exchange...your a terrible baiter lol

As a micro-businessman, nobody despises Walmart more than I do for taking away the Ma and Pa world I grew up in. But Americans woukd rather buy from giant corporations and won't pay a penny more to support local business (although many claim otherwise they are full of poop).

The reason Walmart incomes get subsidized is that the poor breed like rabbits and we (USG) support those rug-rats. If you get a job at Walmart and you are single, you can easily live on that income. Share with another single and you won't need or get aid. It only takes $950 a month to cut off the whole Medicaid and food stamp thing. Its the children that affect this. Should we pay Walmart workers double or triple because they had kids?

I just don't think its realistic. Walmart surely pays above minimum wage. I feel silly defending them but I just think they are being fair enough and a real asset. If they start paying $17.00 an hour, they could and would hire sharper people and their ex-employees will be 100% on the dole.

WalMart is exactly what our parents and grandparents wanted. BTW: Anybody care to define what a 'livable' wage is or what the minimum wage should be?

Youre being foolish if you think liberals wouldnt be screaming up one side and down the other that it were Bush's fault if he were in office.

X-Factors point was correct.

I got 2-words . . . Teddy Roosevelt.

WalMart is no different than the other examples I gave in another thread. The pay scale is in line with many large retailers including Best Buy, Kroger's Walden Books etc. Yet, I rarely, if ever, see any rant about those entities. I wonder why that is.

Xfactors point was pure nonesense just like yours and it had nothing to do with this thread aside from trying to be a cuteypoo

His point and mine went straight over your head. Liberal policies are to blame for whats occurring. Your inability to affix blame where it belongs is hamstrung by the way you, and liberals like you, have been able to blame Bush for everything for years.

You own it now. If you cant face up to that, maybe politics just arent for you.
