- Iran's President Mahmud Ahmadinejad has congratulated Gaza's Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniya in a telephone call on a "great victory" over Israel, the two sides said on Saturday. Haniya in turn "thanked Iran for its support," they added, days after Tehran confirmed it had supplied military aid to Gaza.

....do you know that Armajinedad changed his name? He is originallly Jewish

He was also a Physics Academic prior to entering politics

All is not what it seems my friend

You may have to stop watching all those Hollywood movies and the mass media in the USA - they tend to distort the truth about issues

Israel funds and sets up HAMAS to provide an alternative to the PLO.

In free open elections GAZA elected a HAMAS government, and now Israel is upset???

Upset so much that it sanctions illegal executions of HAMAS political leaders where there up to a dozen deaths of civilians

And Amajinedad is the idiot?

You may need to do a little research on that criminal and crack pot called Netanyahu - now there is one hell of an idiot, the world's only idiot to secrectly possess nukes

What do you think about Hamas situating rocket attacks from populated areas such as schools and then complain about deaths of civilians? :roll:
 
Just to make things clear, Israel gave the Gaza strip to the Palestinians in order to make them happy since they wanted land for themselves. When Israel removed their military from the Gaza strip, Hamas came in and started shooting rockets at Israeli citizens. All Israel is doing is trying to give land to the Palestinians in order to create peace. In my opinion, they should take over the Gaza strip permanently in order to prevent Hamas from using it again to attack Israeli citizens.
 
one thing is clear here: There was no victory for Gaza, nor will there be one in the foreseeable future. Israel could wipe out the entire middle east if they really needed to.

Actually he didnt & isnt.

I assume you are refering to his father changing the family name, but even then neither of his parents were Jewish.

Mind you, even if they had been, I dont see how it has any impact on anything.

He did not change his name.

Relatives have previously said a mixture of religious reasons and economic pressures forced his blacksmith father Ahmad to change when Mr Ahmadinejad was aged four.

Unless Iran gets a nuclear weapon. In that case, Iran can wipe out Israel in one hit.
 
i dont approve any islamist regime , but iran will support hamas as long as it is seen as a threat .

I can't see Iran actually following through with their threat to nuke Israel. In conventional warfare, Israel is definitely a strong player and can hold its own against multiple countries (not superpowers, though) however the ramifications would be disastrous for ANY country using nuclear weapons

Wait, perhaps we're thinking of the wrong kind of traffic management. Think more in line of demonstrations and keeping the ambushed on the path. The title of his dissertation:

"How to keep civilians in a tight group during travel and the best weaponry to reduce traffic."
 
Iran is vying for influence as it continues to pursue regional hegemony. It is no surprise that it would attempt to proclaim the victory of one of its proxies with the implicit understanding that it helped produce that outcome and that it is a reliable ally. That Hamas was pounded until the ceasefire was put in place matters little. A different narrative prevails on the Arab Street and Iran wants to leverage that narrative to renew its claim that Israel is in decline.
