Kevin Clash: Voice of Sesame Street's Elmo accused of having 'sexual relationship with underage boy' | Mail Online

The man who voices the puppet of Elmo on Sesame Street has taken leave amid allegations he had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old boy.

Kevin Clash, 52, has taken a leave of absence from the popular children's show after the programme's lawyers were contacted by a 23-year-old man who claims he had a sexual relationship with the puppeteer seven years ago, when he was aged 16.

TMZ, who reported the allegations, said that Mr Clash had admitted he had a relationship with the man, but only after the accuser was an adult and said the accusations were both false and defamatory.

A: These are allegations at this point.

B: One guy actions warrant an entire station having it's funding taken away?

C: At this point what Romney would have done is irrelevant.

could be a case of 16 going on 24

I was being sarcastical. I almost didn't vote for Romney because of his Big Bird comment and got flak here when I said so. At this point what Romney would have done and Bush did are irrelevant to everything but apparently others do not agree.....

you would have not voted for someone based on big bird? also no, romney was never president, so he never did anything to america except while governor of mass. bush was at the helm of america for 8 years, and fundamentally wrecked our economy. those are two very different things.

thats crazy to say 'romney wasnt elected so now we can all ignore the damage bush did'. makes no sense at all. :lamo

Wait... Fisher... Obama is subsidizing this guy's sexual relationships? Oh good. Now I know my bosses are subsidizing my wife every time she decides she wants to try sticking one of her fingers up my asshole to see if I like it. What in the blue **** son?

The local news tonight reported on this with the feed they get from their network bosses and mentioned nothing about the fact that puppeteer admitted having a sexual relationship with the kid after he turned 18, they just said he denied the charge. Same ole same ole.

even more fundamentally, its dishonest to accuse someone of subsidizing a pedophile unless its known that this person is aware of the person they are subsidizing is a pedophile.

Yes, but for Benghazi coming up I would have voted for Gary the Libertarian Anarchist after the Big Bird thing. I give to two PBS systems in 2 states (I'm in both their broadcast areas) and my TV is on one of their channels 80% of the time it is on.

maybe Penn state could get Elmo as a mascot

tickle me Elmo will never be the same again!

i would have voted for ron paul if he'd won the republican nomination.

I don't think a 16 year old kid falls under the label of pedophilia. I think pedophilia mainly deals with young children, prepubescent

Wal-Mart employees - those who are full-time anyway - almost make enough to reach the poverty line. The impoverished heirs only have $20 Billion each. Sesame Street only makes hundreds of millions a year.

Democrats should keep up their good work and take $2 per hour from each WalMart employee to keep them in their place. $1 for PBS and $1 for more WalMart heirs. Obama only gave them $2.8 Billion per year in ObamaCare exemption.

I saw a documentary on Kevin Clash and the guy is a legend. He seems very obsessed with the character of Elmo obviously, but he has given us all kinds of great characters in Sesame Street and many Henson features. I hope he settles this and can keep going because Seasame Street is a great thing and him being the current producer and head writer makes him the heart of it.

Neither the names of Romney nor Obama have any place in this sad and terrible story.

Great line Turtle.:lol: May be the best you have ever written.

It's still pretty sick though IMO. There are just so many yucky people out there.

I saw the doc, too. In fact, I raved about how awesome it was, so suffice to say I'm quite disappointed in this potential scandal. If it turns out that the boy was indeed 16 and the time of the indiscretion, he would be considered a minor instead of a child. Still, it's young enough to know that Kevin will have to be fired if the allegations prove true.

Just when support for Sesame Street was so high...

He could always move to Canada, and you and Jet could help him start a new show. You could do the artwork and Jet could do whatever Jet does.

Who cares? If this is true and he's messing with children, he needs to GO! Excusing his behavior is no different than what the Catholic Church has done or what Penn State did.

Wow! This story explains why, just a few days ago, I saw Elmo wondering around aimlessly around Times Square in Manhattan.
