The conspiracy theory continues to evolve. First it was gross incompetence, then lying on the scale of Watergate. Now, one of the architects of this right-wing media frenzy, The Blaze, is posting rants from its owner, the incomparable conspiracy theorist Glenn Beck, theorizing that Obama "covered up" information about the attack because he and Stevens were running guns to terrorists in Libya.

These guys don't know when to stop. If they had been a little more restrained, they may have actually convinced people. But the growing outrageousness of the claims is starting to reveal this nonsense for what it really is...

Fox and WaPo have picked up on it as well. Nothing would surprise me.
 
Beck's only goal in life is to sell himself and make money - he is a hypocrite, and a pathetic excuse for a human.
 
I see Beck continues to prove that the mental illness of some people can only be remedied via the second amendment. :doh

it was fairly obvious from the beginning. they needed a scandal, so they tried to make this into one. however, to do so would require a news network with some credibility, and fox (and others) sold theirs for ratings years ago. net result : the only people reading about the "scandal" are those that already hated Obama anyway. it has about as much reach to independents as a Keith Olbermann rant about Romney.

I am almost starting to feeling sorry for Beck. There is something seriously wrong with his mental health.

When will we learn. 1954, Iran elects a President who's a little too close to the Soviets, so we install the Shah. Enter the Ayatollahs. 1979, the Soviets invade Afghanistan so we arm their enemy, thereby creating al Qaeda. In the 1980s, Iran and Iraq war, so since we don't like the Ayatollahs, we arm Saddam Hussein. Eventually we have to remove Saddam because he was hiding the chemical weapons that he got from us in the first place. 2011, we back rebels in Libya, 2012 they kill our ambassador.

Hmm...maybe if we didn't go arming everyone, we wouldn't keep stepping in ****.
 
The latest claim could be as lame as the SF Chronical claiming the Obama Administration put Stevens in Benghazi because he was gay and wanted to infuriate the radical Islamist - ok that was a lame SF poster but they still let it run on their web site a while. Lets just say for an instant that Beck was right here. The US Government was no doubt arming and aiding the opponents of the Libyan Govt to oust its dictator. Is everyone certain none of that aid made to al queda followers? Really? We continue to support the new government in Libya is everyone so 100% certain none of that government is made up people loyal to al queda? I am wow - wouldn't that like a KKK member being speaker of the House of Representatives and a Democrat? Never happen right?

So again what if Beck and Co are right? It strikes me that no one flat out cares - especially the defenders of Obama.
