Ohioans confused about bin Laden’s death

I just have to ask... how is it possible that these people got it so wrong? It's mind-boggling. What has Mitt done to even deserve an iota of credit?

Some Republicans think Romney is "more responsible" for the death of Osama bin Laden

What does Mitt Romney have to do with killing Osama bin Laden? According to a notable percentage of Ohio Republicans, way more than that good-for-nothing Barack Obama.
According to a PPP poll of likely Ohio voters, 15 percent of Republicans in Ohio think Romney is “more responsible” for bin Laden’s death than Obama, while 47 percent of Republicans are “not sure” whether Obama or Romney deserves more of the credit.
Six percent of the overall respondents gave Romney credit where credit is not at all due. Thirty-one percent of them weren’t sure whether the president or the candidate deserves more credit.

Ohioans confused about bin Laden’s death

Why is the fact that some Libbos made the same mistake, left out of every one of these threads?

IMHO some people simply dislike polls and pollsters. Others dislike Obama so much they refuse to give him credit for anything. I think this could fall in the same category as Holocaust deniers. They don't actually believe what they're saying they believe. Their contempt prevents them from giving their perceived enemy any advocacy and are willing to revise history to that end and/or they think it'll get under that perceived enemy's skin, in this case President Obama and his supporters.

Haha. Yeah - OP's jimmies got rustled, for sure.

It's all a matter of perspective. If Bush got bin Laden in the same manner, he would have been recrucified for violating the sovereignty of Pakistan. He would have been called a warmonger and a cowboy and a loose cannon. He would have been accused of sitting on his hands for years before finally taking the shot, a day late and a dollar short. Every single person in that compound, bin Laden included, would have been labeled as "murder victims". Bin Laden's death in the event would have been called "sloppy planning," or an "execution mission," no doubt to cover up the truth behind 9/11.

Did Romney do a damn thing to help get bin Laden? Nope. But neither did Obama. He was in the right place at the right time; it was his job to say "go," and he did. Do we give people trophies for simply showing up to work now? Hey, I didn't go to jail today. Someone pat me on the back. Obama neither planned the operation, nor pulled the trigger. And in that regard, neither did Romney.

Not to mention, the information that led to finding UBL was obtained through torutre. If Obama had his way, we wouldn't have even found UBL, in the first place.

If Obama had his way, you would not have lost him at Tora Bora.....

"Had his way"? Well, hell, if I had my way, Obama wouldn't have invested in Solyndra. See how easy that was? Look, I found something in the past we could see was a mistake. I magically appear back in time and fix issue from hindsight!

Kinda reminds me of the Rick Mercer Skit "talking to Amnericans"

Probably half the voters regardless of who they are voting for couldn't point to Afghanistan on a world map or name both their United States Senators.

The OP article is just one of a million pointless partisan smear blog pieces and this is "breaking news" then ANY so-calling Internet "news source blog" is "breaking new."

In light of what happened on 9/11, you would think that Americans would know about Bin Laden as opposed to some other topics, like where to find Afghanistan on a map. There are dummies on both sides of the aisle, and this was not meant to be partisan in any way. But I digress. This article was posted in the blog/internet news section of DP. I presumed everyone knows this, but then again, like the OP topic, some people are just not that aware.

Funny as hell, but also not very fair.

Ahh Prime Minsiter Jean Poutine how we miss you!

True but humour like politics never claimed to be fair. Of course when stuff like this happens in actual political life it is kinda scary/sad/pathetic choose your adjective as opposed ot ridiculous/laughable/funny when dealing with it on a humor level

Still makes me giggle:

"Congratulations Canada, on keeping your national igloo!"
