This is hilarious!! I'm not going to change the name unless you pay me what it costs to do so!! Who the hell cares what the name is?? I wouldn't pay him a dime. I'd just let the market speak. What's the big deal?

Ha, I'd shop there for the lulz.

I might too, except that would just encourage people to copy him. The last thing we need is a chain of Auschwitz-themed restaurants.

Native Americans?

Hopi use the symbol, too. And, of course, there's some argument as to whether Hitler took the swastika from the Hindus or from the early Teutons, who also used the swastika as a religious symbol.

Actually starting to get a little touchy about people saying I'm not allowed to use the symbols of my faith in public because a bunch of racist degenerates have presumed to appropriate them.

I don't think people have a problem with the swastika itself. It's the other stuff which certain people adorn it with.

I don't have a problem with sheets. It's when you make them into a cone and start walking around with it and burning crosses that I get a little neck twitch.

Oh, they do. When I was in Korea every idiot westerner who saw giant swastikas on buildings instantly associated this:

with this:

and instantly got offended by it because they were too stupid to know the difference.

This is not a symbol of nazi Germany. Some asshole from Austria saw it, thought it was cool, and put it on a big red flag for a couple decades before the Allied forces kicked his army's ass, and he shot himself in his crazy, syphilis riddled brain.

Can anyone imagine the outrage that would be expressed here if he were a white guy?

It always has to come back to how persecuted whites are...

You know what? I am a straight, white , Christian male, and I don't feel persecuted at all.

But you have to know it's true. He would be accused of being a Neo Nazi.

Because for some reason, when you associate the name "Hitler" with a swastika, it tends to make people think about Nazis. God only knows why.

The name will change, but it doesn't say what it will be

Reports: India 'Hitler' store owner to change shop name - World News

I wonder if it'll be "Stalin" with the "i" dotted with a hammer & sickle....You know, after his uncle...
I wonder if he got someone to pay for the change like he first insisted.

"We received at least 10 calls every day from the U.S., the U.K., Dubai, Germany and Israel," Shah said according to the Express. "It was getting very annoying, as many of these people called at odd hours."
They're called 'time zones', dude.

Israel's consul general in Mumbai also asked Indian state officials to intervene, The Associated Press reported.
I'd have told the Israeli Consul General to go pound salt... and I'm usually sympathetic to Israel.

Who is known to more people, Hitler or Jesus Christ?

And what happened to all the other people who had Hitler as their last names?

True, but the swastika is a good indication that he was referring to Adolf.

I challenge you to say that you wouldn't walk in there. If I passed a store like that, heck I'd head right in out of curiosity, I might even buy something to show my friends. :lamo
