I had read the romny campaign and Paul supporters had made a deal...I guess no one told the Paulites

A divided Republican Party was on full display Tuesday when Rep. Ron Paul's (R-Texas) supporters and other grassroots activists loudly booed House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on the first full day of the Republican National Convention. The fight was over the unglamorous rules process that dictates how delegates are apportioned in each state. Paul didn't sweep the ballot boxes in state caucuses and primaries, but his supporters quietly worked behind the scenes in an effort to take control of state parties and delegate assignments.

In other news, the DNC cancelled their convention citing the fact that sleeping pills would be cheaper.

Ron Paul's supporters must have been thrilled also that the RNC found a way to muzzle Paul during the convention. Rather that letting him speak, they prepared a video that only talked about the things the party regulars went along with.

Here is the video if any missed it:

You won't find any reference to Paul's position that we should drastically cut military spending as Romney has pledged to increase military spending. It will be interesting to see what the Paul supporters think of this RNC tactic.

Obviously a deal was made to assist Ron Paul turning over the reins to Rand Paul, who just said over and over the word "unconstitutional" hoping he can assume his father's zealot groupies.

Instead of paying all of your attention to the Paul supporters at the convention, and focusing only on the negative, and watch Ron Pauls speech at his We Are The Future Rally and hear some truth instead of the usual lies.

FULL UNEDITED Ron Paul Speech @ We Are the Future Rally - Tampa Sun Dome - Aug 26 2012 - YouTube

theres a few minutes of Rand Paul introducing his father at the beginning...it was a great speech though. and it shows the hundreds of Paul supporters who demonstrated not only their numbers and political power, but also demonstrated an ability not to interrupt the RNC, which should have given him a spot to speak, Clint Eastwood got up there and told the truth and he wasnt called a lunatic...

Ron Paul is no more a Republican than Joe Lieberman is an independent. Think he will be speaking at the DNC?

That's like asking if Stewart Alexander will speak at the next RNC. :lamo Paul's a libertarian - and in my opinion as airhead, though we'll put that aside - but he's still a right winger.

Then maybe he can speak at their convention.

bunk. Ron Paul gave his spot to his son to his son could say "unconstitutional" repeated to pass the crown to him. Nearly all evangelists try to pass off to one of their sons.

They didn't not allow him to speak. They invited him too.

I think it goes deeper than that. This guy hasn't been campaigning for president in months because he had some secret delegate strategy which is why he kept accepting donations I guess. Remember he also never went after Romney like the other candidates and withdrew from one debate in which it would have been himself and Romney one on one. I think at some point the supporters need to call bull**** on his campaign. I feel bad for the Paul supporters because they seem to genuinely believe in him and they are going to have hard time accepting the reality. I find it almost amazing people can believe in a politician as much as they seem to. They remind of the Kath Bates character in in the movie "Primary Colors" which Billy Bob's character described as having a case of galloping TB(True Believerism). However, there is quite a bit of circumstantial evidence that he was Romney's wingman and not really running for president all along. That may not be fair but when you stop campaigning but don't stop accepting donations and are paying a boat load of your relatives with those campaign contributions I call bull****.

Please, Limbaugh is despised by most libertarians. The problem is that many of the newcomers don't see him for what he is. Also, it is possible that Rush is growing as a human. We all do, hopefully.

However, there is a battle raging between the NeoCons and Paul supporters. They will either find a REAL concensus or the party will explode. Limbaugh is not a complete idiot. He knows that too much resistance will only destroy the GOP and leave the field open for the Democrats. He is such a knee jerk reactionary against Democrats that that probably terrifies him.

eyeroll. Ron Paul never wanted a personalit cult. He loves his country and knows that we must try to find peace or we will destroy ourselves. He cannot win. He knows that. He is too old. He has said over and over that he hopes to be the trailblazer, the seed capital, the scout, etc. Leave and find some other idol if you need one.

Stop being so closed minded. Read your bible. Read another. Read another. Read Rand. Read Steinbeck. Contrast and compare. If you are too lazy then take my word for it or pipe down. They all say the same things just in different ways.

You seem to be close to the truth and maybe you are on it and I am just not understanding you.

The Democrats lost their nerve for removing their baggage after Lieberman. Lieberman is a somewhat moderate authoritarian. He is not a Liberal (think Nolan chart). The true left should take Ron Paul's lead. Citizens United is providing us with more power to take out the garbage. Feingold was actually a good guy, just horribly wrong on free speech. But I would take him over Lieberman any day.

What should have been learned from the housing bubble...

Repair your own house and you will live happily. Stop blaming the neighbors for your property values. Homes are not a good investment anyway. They either rot or maintenance becomes too costly. They are a good temporary shelter.

This is a metaphor.

I have no clue what you are saying other than trailblazer which he's not. A trailblazer was Perot who punched the donkeys and elephants right in the face with a third party run. If he wanted to get his message out he would run third party instead he transferred quite a bit of money from donors to his family which is far from trailblazing.

FYI. I don't believe in idols and if I did I damn sure wouldn't find it in the bible or the political class.

It is quite clear you don't understand. You are among the willfully ignorant. You are an authoratarian. You never understood Ron Paul.

Where is Ross Perot? He did have some positive impact on the budget woes, but everything else he represented is dying, dead or gone. Fortress America is not the solution. We are not going to go back to the 1950s. It would destroy us. Go ahead move to hinterlands and die. Do you not know why your regions grow poorer by the day. You are engaged in a conspiracy against yourself.

Ron Paul is a trailblazer and he is the best hope for this country. He is a libertarian consensus builder. He tolerates your support while clearly indicating that you are a repulsive thinker. He has learned his lessons from associating too closely with you. But he needs his useful idiots too.

The irony is that poorest migrants will be forced to follow you because that is the only place they can afford the cost of living. You are going extinct and you are all too old and warn out to d o anyhting about it. You can try to whip your children into a frenzy, but that will burn them out before they are of much use. Your best children will roll their eyes and escape you.

Santorum was right. You need to keep your children out of college. But the internet will soon break down that wall as well. It is already in full gear. Colleges will soon offer courses cheaply and efficiently over the internet. Turn off your tv, unplug and go hide in the corner barking at the darkness. It's a losing strategy, but that is what you are good at.

Personal attacks and assumptions about my views how trailblazing of you. I'm about as far from an authoritarian as it gets considering I'm for abolishing the CIA, Homeland Security and drastic cuts in defense in the neighborhood of 40%. Willfully Ignorant. We all could know more but I average about 130 to 150 books a year so I feel I put a decent amount of effort into being informed. Call me names all you want if you get some sense of superiority from it. At the end of the day the guy accomplished getting campaign donations into the pockets of his family and very little else. At least you didn't call me sheople but that's probably coming.

Then you are misrepresnting yourself with Perot. Perot was huge backer of the CIA. Pick your poison.

It really does not matter what you are. I certainly don't know anymore than you say. It is clear you don't get Ron Paul, though. I have been a strong supporter of him for a long time and we have both grown together. The man is a sage and he loves his fellows so much that he is occasionally mislead. But he has learned to loves those he thought were his enemies too.
