New Black Panthers: Where is the DOJ?

This is all bullsh*t. The reason this thread was started and the reason most folks even know about the new black panther party is fear mongering.

Instead of asking someone else to do the investigation, why don't you just click thru to the SPLC hate groups page, then click on the title of each group and you will end up a page filled with the reasoning behind each group being put in the classification
Here is the American Family Assn page

Not what I consider "Christian" but then Gandhi would certainly have been thinking of such a group when he supposedly said,
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

If you are going to call a group a hate group you should pick one and then give your evidence. Conversely if you are going to accuse cons of supporting hate groups, pick one, prove it's a hate group then give examples of cons supporting it otherwise you seem like somebody throwing a bucket of crap on a wall and hoping something sticks. No offense but your debate etiquette sucks. Don't play stupid games, make a rational case with for your statements then I have something to sink my teeth into and we can have a real discussion. You are being civil though, thanks for that at least.

Irrelevant group is irrelevant. The NBP is Neo-Nazi material. Until they're actually caught doing something, nothing will happen to them and they'll be more than capable of writing music, songs and expressing their feelings out openly.

I thought that folks said the KKK was irrelevant. By the way ... have you forgotten what happened in Philly the last POTUS election? Even if caught ... NOTHING will happen. Only thing that will ever HAPPEN is if some white guy gets into an altercation with one. Then the bovine-processed-bucket-of-oats will hit the fan and spray on the white guy.

A L

I'll bet the KKK membership is on the rise.

A few of the more widely supported hate groups from the SPLC

American Family Association

Council of Conservative Citizens

Family Research Council

Federation for American Immigration Reform

League of the South

VDARE

and for the interested, SPLC also puts the Nation of Islam and the New Black Panthers Party on their list of hate groups

You can put the SPLC on their own list.

What would liberals do without being able to blame fear?

and babbling on and on about "they're coming to take away our guns!",... continuous ranting about how important it is to always have a firearm with you "to protect yourself and your family", pushing for the passage of unnecessary voter id laws to keep those 'others' from voting - you must be joking when you talk about liberals blaming fear.

Fear seems to be a core tenet of the modern American right

The list goes on both sides of the isle, doesn't it?

With intolerance, denial, and hate being core tenets of the modern left.

So you sincerely believe that stories about the new black panther party are covered because they are newsworthy? I'm not trying to be a smartass but I just don't believe you are worried about the influence of the black panther party. Don't you see that the point of these stories is to keep people's focus on bullsh*t and dividing people over stupid tribal issues? There's no way you can't see that these stories are about manipulating you into hating or being afraid of "liberals". It's no different than "liberals" getting all worked up about something Limbaugh, Beck or Hannity said.

The two party system is an absolute crock that maintains control by getting people worked up over this kind of nonsense. Nowadays misdeeds are dismissed because one side says the other side is evil and politically motivated therefore what they are saying should be ignored. "Fast And Furious" is a perfect example of the problems with this kind of thinking. The U.S government smuggled guns to Mexican drug cartels and that investigation has stalled because democrats say the republicans are doing it for political reasons and it was started under Bush. Well no sh*t they are doing it for political reasons and what the hell difference does it make. Instead of talking about what happened in "Fast and Furious" the conversation becomes who is the bigger a**hole Issa or Holder. Newsflash! they are both a**holes but what does that have to do with the law.

The much larger problem is things they agree on ,like the fleecing of the American people by lobbyist and think tanks, don't get discussed. The fleecing would be in the form of privatization, military contractors and the federal reserve to name a few. There is no way you can't see the contradiction in someone like Glenn Beck getting people worked up over Van Jones but goes along with the banker bailouts. Do you think he's doing that because he is really concerned about Van Jones? Of course not he's just playing his role in the two party paradigm.

Do you have this same attitude towards the KKK or what little is left of it?

Give it up dude... Obama's DOJ has given those racist thugs a lifetime pass. They can threaten people, call for violence against anyone they want, and intimidate people at polling stations with full presidential immunity.

Don't look now but your ignorance is showing.

Who specifically was threatened? Give me a person's name. At what polling station did they intimidate people? When did they get full presidential immunity, whatever the hell that is.

Your typical knee jerk reaction while loathsome and tiring is not surprising. "The sky is falling, the sky is falling", again. Don't you get tired of saying that?

Which laws have they broken? Show me.

Rational people who are in control of their emotions are no doubt disturbed by what the NBP has said and that would include all races. Imagine that! Do 99.99% of the people in America agree with the NBP? Of course not. Believing otherwise is ridiculous. Are federal, state and local law enforcement keeping a close eye on the NBP? Yes, just like they have kept their eyes on white racist groups. Bold ignorant speech is toward no specific person or government is not against the law. It's dumber than a bag of hammers.

I've always found that the people who are most disturbed by mouthy ignorant racists are the mouthy ignorant racists of the opposite color.

I love it when libs ask for corroboration of statements, it is a perfect opportunity to stick facts and figures right in their face, they just assume we make crap up like they do.

from the comments posted by the two named here, they do not appear to have actually read the entire page on Wikipedia. If they had read the page and managed to comprehend the words thereon, they might not be claiming that their version of the incident is supported by the facts.

Absolutely. This is a big country if you look hard enough you can find a kook but being a kook doesn't make it newsworthy. You ever see most of the stories about kkk marches it's like 50 people if not less yet the news will cover it and when they point the camera you can count on them cranking up the vile language

The group we call the Klan may or may not be shrinking but white supremacy groups are increasing in number

(CNN) -- Hundreds of white supremacist groups are active in the United States today and are experiencing a kind of resurgence, experts say.

Currently, there are more than 1,000 hate groups in the United States, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks them and says it was tracking the Wisconsin gunman for years before the attack.

"Mouthy ignorant racist". Ouch! While I agree with you that the story is absurd that was a little harsh.

Yes, it shows the DOJ under Obama dumped the entire investigation. At least Bush start one. As usual, you add zero value.

Racists are ignorant. There's no way around that. As a friend who is black once told me when we were talking about racists, "From my perspective it's better when racist people get mouthy. That way I know for certain who they are."

Agreed. I didn't read everything he posted be putting the racist label on someone is pretty harsh. Unless he said something like x group is better then y group directly or in code that seems a bit harsh.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I was not referring to anyone in particular when using the term racist. I was referring to the OP and some of the responses to it.

I'm so glad you 'liked' my response. :lamo :lamo

Nevertheless, you're wrong and I'm correct when viewing the responses by both DoJs. It all returns to the basic fact that there was no violation of federal election law AND that the Philadelphia PD saw nothing more than one fool with a nightstick - a fool who left when told to leave.
