Honoring America's Veterans Act Signed By Obama, Restricting Westboro Military Funera

Re: Honoring America's Veterans Act Signed By Obama, Restricting Westboro Military Fu

You troll a funeral I'm attending I will kill you. -Run you over with car. -If I'm not armed, find something laying on the ground to beat your skull in till you stop moving. The human body is a fragile thing.

Trolling = justified homocide even with overkill? You take ceremonies very seriously.

Oh an internet tought guy, like we haven't seen this before

Re: Honoring America's Veterans Act Signed By Obama, Restricting Westboro Military Fu

I paid for the funeral plot. It's mine. So, I quite disagree. If I thought this was free speech, I'd actually oppose free speech. Rights come with responsibilities, and when we show no sign of being responsible, we will lose rights. Society can't really allow any significant abuse like this for grieving people. There will be violence sooner or later if not moderated. Being as these are private citizens and not public ones, and certainly not the state, reasonable restrictions are fine by me.

You do not own the sidewalk where WBC is. WBC is not on private property. Freedom come with responsibilities and consequences. If you cannot accept to consequences, we lose the freedom. Reasonable restrictions may work, but this is not reasonable. 300 feet and 4 hours is not reasonable restriction when WBC did not infringe upon anyone's rights. They are not standing in your funeral plot complaining, they are off on public land doing so. And so long as they are, and so long as they refrain from infringing upon the rights of others, then they must be free to do as they like. This is a consequence of freedom, it's time to own up to it.

He might not. But sooner or later, someone will.

And they go to jail for murder.

True that. But that doesn't change anything.

Sure doesn't. WBC is not infringing upon anyone's rights, they are on public land, they have the right to assemble, associate, and protest.

Yes, and your right stops at my nose. Like I said, this infringes on my right to grieve, so they are infringing. And this is where we see it differently. It is merely a burden we should not ask grieving people to bear.

Yes, but they didn't hit you in your nose. You have no "right to grieve", you're just making that up. If you are in public, you may see or hear things you don't like. Get over it.

And that's where we disagree. I believe by merely being a human being, I have that right. It's common human decency. Not all laws are written, and courts sometimes understand this.

Troll a funeral I'm attending and you're dead.

Yes, but just because you think you have the right to something doesn't mean you get to lord over others exercising their rights, particularly when the right they are exercising is explicitly written and accepted. If you are in public, you cannot control what other people are saying. They have the right to assembly, to association and to protest.

You're the one looking to not stop his fist, you want to clobber these people for exercising their rights because you do not like what they are saying. Freedom has consequences and we must accept those consequences if we wish to preserve freedom.

Would you just shut up about this? You're lying, everyone here knows your lying, Tigger has a higher chance of acting on the BS he says than you do. You ain't gonna do anything, you know it, I know it, dogs know it. Quit trying to be some gangster punk and grow up.

You wouldn't understand. You have nobody in your life you care about, or cares about you.

Why don't you go troll someone's funeral and see how long you live. You're an amateur so you won't live very long.

The WBC is smart about which funerals they troll. The funerals they troll are military, wealthy or upper middle class, so people have something to lose if they assault someone. I on the other hand have nothing to lose, it's not gangster talk it's reality. You will die if you show up in my face. So keep your trolling on the internet, I always say.

Whatever little boy. Why don't you run along and flash signs at cops or whatever you ganster wanna-bes do these days to pretend your prepubescent ass is "hardcore". You're just a pathetic liar talking about how you're so tough, hoping no one sees the Depends you're wearing in case you mess yourself again at the sound of a poodle barking. Just a little boy with "nothing to lose" and nothing to show either. Grow up.

The only gangster tough talk is coming from you. You don't have the guts to troll someone's funeral. The Westboro Baptist Church has more guts than you.

Who's funeral would you troll anyways? Lean: Left Libertarian. A non Lean: Left Libertarian, whatever that is? I just can't picture it in my head.

You have no "right to grieve"

It has nothing to do with "right to grieve". It's all about anger control, meaning I got none of it in situations like this.

No, far too close. And too much to expect grieving people to have to tolerate.

No they have every right to do so as long as they are on public property. The whole free speech thing is either you are for it or against it, there is really no in between the bill of rights clearly lays this out.

Re: Honoring America's Veterans Act Signed By Obama, Restricting Westboro Military Fu

Than you are some young kid that's never had anyone you care about die, and you think everyone will live forever. Grow up.
:doh
Glad you know me so well man..
Had a good friend die in a car accident, had my grandfather die, had my great grandmother die who i was very close to.
So maybe you should grow the **** up and not act like you know people personal lives on the ****ing internet.

I think that's about the right of it. It's all about freedom and the consequences there of. You either have the cojones to uphold it, or your set yourself against freedom and liberty.

This is an emotional subject, I get that. But emotion cannot be allowed to cloud rational judgement.

Internet tough guy syndrome, it's best to ignore. Punks who run off at the mouth like that are typically 13 year old boys with horrible acne sitting in their parent's basement dreaming delusions of grandeur.

That basically sums it up. There is no in-between on freedom of speech. You are either for it or against it. If you "limit it" in this sort of way (or any sort of way) it then fails to be "freedom of speech".

No, I don't think so. And I don't by there's no inbetween. No right is absolute. Reasonable restrictions can be found with all kinds of rights. Of those I would fight for, this is not one of them.

"Reasonable restrictions" on the freedom of speech? Then it ends to be free. It then becomes "semi-restricted free speech"....

All rights have the one natural limitation that you may not infringe upon the rights of others in the process. All "reasonable" restrictions come along this line. And yet, no right here has been violated. And so long as that is true, we cannot justly use government force to stop WBC just because we do not like what they are saying.
