Über Rich Renouncing U.S Citizenship as IRS Cracks Down on Tax Evaders [W:209]

People should pay their taxes. The tax rate is determined by duly elected representatives of American citizens. Debating what that rate should be is not stealing. Nobody wants your stuff.

Except that the bill introduced by Senator Douchmer is proposal to tax income that isn't even earned yet. If Saverin is no longer a citizen of the US, this country has absolutely no right lay claim to earning that haven't even materialized yet. This is utter BS.

Agree with the sentiment that they shouldn't tax future income, but I don't have a problem with him paying the appropriate marginal income tax rate on his income and, in fact, I find his moves to shelter his income by renouncing his citizenship worthy of scorn.
 
I heard alot of libs on the radio today and people here lib and con condemning the rich for bailing and wanting to impose fines, penalty's etc on them for daring to renounce US citizenship. It makes me wonder if this is the first step down the road to communism and a totalitarian state, they don't allow people to leave at all and in our case it may start with not allowing rich people to leave without paying a huge fee to the state.

While illegal immigration is a crime under Title 8 Section 1325 illegal immigration for the first offense is punishable with 6 months in jail and fined between 50-250 dollars. So he would not be tossed into prison,unless this is his second time trying to sneak into the country which is then punishable with 2 years in prison. You would have to change the law to state that anyone who renounces their citizenship to avoid taxes and comes back illegally will be imprisoned until their pay back taxes. A citizen of another country who is not employed or self-employed in the US does not owe income taxes to the US, they pay income taxes to what ever country they are citizens of. So I do not think you can hold them for taxes they don't owe.

I think the rich ought to retaliate against such people

fire them from their jobs

throw them out of their homes with foreclosures

blacklist them from working for other rich people

deny them loans at the banks the rich own

maybe even have contract cleaners whack them.

If the parasites want a war, by all means both sides should fight hard

you sure are whining a lot. you ever bill 60 hours in a week? hard work is more than just mindless toil. the more pressure on you, the more complex the task the harder it is. That is why people who work with their brains generally are paid far higher than those who don't have responsibilities or have to make decisions

companies shouldn't pay taxes. and those claims are moronic. companies provide jobs to people who then pay taxes on the income they receive. sales tax is paid on stuff the companies sell. companies generally are a net benefit for society and those who work at or own them. People on welfare rarely provide any value to society other than voting for big spending pimps

I agree with you. The rich should indeed do those things...... except for the contract killings which goes way way way too far. But the, you said that just for shock effect anyway so we will take it for what it is. But in some of the other things, they would finally take off their silly masks and let the world see the true face of evil in all its selfishness worthlessness. And you know what happens to something worthless?

I am worried about you Turtle... genuinely worried. I thought you showed glimmers of hope now and then but then we have the outpouring of this sort of thing yet again and the call to war from the rich and endorsement of contract killings.

Rich people die. Business creators die. New generations rise. Society keeps going. You underestimate the ingenuity of the not-so-golden geese and overestimate the contributions of the gilded ones.

we have seen your claims that the wealth of the rich is only held by them as long as the rabble allow them to do so. You have claimed that the rich should fall to their knees and beg to keep some of what they have. if it comes to that, I hope the rich start using all their power to destroy those who would take their wealth
