Über Rich Renouncing U.S Citizenship as IRS Cracks Down on Tax Evaders [W:209]

from Turtle

It has been explained to you and you have been schooled on this matter for more times than are calculable.

Again, you are confusing two very very different things. You are confusing apples with cinderblocks and you cannot seem to grasp why you keep chipping your teeth on that hard grey pie filling.

Income tax rates applied to different levels of income is one thing.

Discriminatory preferential treatment for the same amount of money going into a persons pocket is a completely different thing.

They are two separate things and two separate issues.

Of course, the rich do this in serving their master- Mammon.

If I put before you three piles of one million dollars cash each , one from wages, one from capital gains, and one from inheritance, nobody could tell which is which with any degree of accuracy. It is all a million dollars and it all goes into a persons pocket as earnings.

But one person will pay over $300,000 in tax on his million while the second will pay but less than half of that amount in tax while the third pays ZERO. That is a travesty and a tremendous injustice.

It must be stopped and it must be stopped ASAP.

You haven't schooled anyone-what you have done is put the same contradictory anti rich nonsense up several times

for example-the progressive income tax is good when it soaks the rich but the SAME Laws are bad when they don't rape investment income enough

and your moronic example is silly. The tax rates depend on other factors such as deductions, losses, how it was earned and so forth

I have a great idea -no one should pay taxes on those piles-they should only pay taxes when they BUY something with it.

and you have never explained how it is a travesty. it has been EXPLAINED TO YOU 100's of times that earned income is taxed higher for several reasons. of course I don't want taxes on income YOU DO.

and since you want to quote religion I should tell you not wanting to pay the wasteful government MORE does not violate the ten commandments but you constantly do for you covet what is your neighbors. even though you might not personally take their property you want it to be taken to make yourself feel better

JUST AS BAD

It's a terrible idea to have government dependent on free market decisions in order to craft its budget.

The rich need to send a message to the people that run this country and leaving is a great way to do it.

I support him in his move and wish him all the luck.
He doesn't need luck. He'll do fine, given his circumstances. When that money is gone, though, he better hope for his grandkids or great-grandkids' sake that America still thinks it makes sense to invest in the system that helped him create his fortune.

I posted in another thread how un-patriotic these people are. This reinforces that notion.

The rest of us are supposed to 'buy American', but they can invest and bank abroad, outside of U.S. tax codes.

No. It is not patriotic to consider the borders of your country the same as walls of your prison. Also, you have no idea what you are talking about. Corporations can invest and tax abroad. Individuals get simply double-taxed. I am a patriot. You are something else ... with a well fed propaganda.

Well, now we know where this "comrade's" allegience lies, don't we?

This here's a story about Mitt and Ann
Two young lovers with nothin' better to do
Than sit around the house, get fat, and watch the tube
And here is what happened when they decided to cut loose

They headed down to, ooh, old Tampa FLA
That's where they ran into a great big hassle
Mitt shot a man while robbing his castle
Ann took the money and run

Go on take the money and run
