I do not see why he should be offended.Today moderate is just a code word for liberals who are too ashamed to admit they are liberal.

Right just like anything slightly slightly to the left of you is "liberal" right?

When I think of legends, Nugent just doesn't rise to the top on any list. More like any one of dozens of musicans who had a run, a song or two some can remember.

Not a Santana, Clapton, Beck, Hendrix, Burton, Atkins.

Far as rock groups go his never was a Stones, Animals, Steppenwolf, Pink Floyd, even Kansas. More like a trendy band, bit light on everything but adolescent puns. But its only rock n roll and I like it...

He lost most his money and has had to start over, I doubt if he didn't make so much noise off the stage we would even remember him. Never discount his ego or ability to create a scene. His fans seem ardent, his message redneck a bit boastful. I'm sure millions of beer bellies scream HELL YEAH after one of Nugies rants.

you do understand that his "run" has lasted 40 years and he's still runnin'.. correct?

i don't think any of us are arguing he is the greatest rock and roller to ever live or some such nonsense ( which is why i don't understand the strawman comparisons).. but it cannot be denied that he has a long and illustrious rock and roll career with millions of fans.... he might not be the greatest ever, but he sure as hell is one of the busiest ever... he's basically been on tour for 40-something years

you don't get to perform over 6,000 concerts without being pretty damn good and having a pretty solid fan base....hell, I don't even know of any of the "greats" who have done so many performances.. they usually burn hot for a few years and fade away.

but meh, don't let your politics get in the way of reality.

Cool he has good ratings... :sarcasticclap I bet that makes him real smart...

He's doing something right..so, he must be savvy

What about you? How are you doing?

Ahhh he is a hit on the casino circuit. Lots of circling the drain bands run that lap. We have concerts from days gone by bands in our casinos too. No Stones or Slow Hand though. Ted and his bunch are a good middle weight band that if his mouth didn't front for them even the casino bookings might be thin. Maybe he can play Frontier City up in OKC. Joan Jett and The Little River Band played there.

He's making money off this bug tussle. Hell, if I was Nugent I'd give a couple of months and try something else to make folks talk about me. Money, money, money makes the world go around. :2razz:

I saw this, he was cussing at the producer off screen... it was a meltdown train wreck.

I seriously doubt he gets many Make-A-Wish requests. Probably one in his entire life.

More like aged rock star, even old rockers have groupies, they just throw bigger panties.

BTW - he's on one of those pathetic nostalgia tours this summer, where 3 or 4 old rock bands join forces to mount a tour and fill small-med. size concert venues.

He's with Styx and someone else. When he comes to Chicago, I hope he gets booed off the stage.

BTW - I'll mention that RUSH tours alone and fills sports arenas and large amphitheaters in 30 North American markets.

you can keep listing as many as you'd like.. i'll still think you are being extraordinarily hackish.

And yet here you are all but apologizing for this moron. Who's fooling whom hackman?

i'm not fooling anyone.. it's obvious to everyone here i'm a fan of his music (and his gun politics).. it's also obvious to everyone i'm not a petty political hack..

well, that's not true.. it isn't obvious to everyone..only the reasonable, intelligent people.

tell me more stories about how his politics makes his music bad and how much his 4 decade career sucks... i'd like a good bedtime fantasy

Or just a rock star..

Im a currently a college student. And im doing quite fine. How are you?

Great! One of the VERY few that snatched a 690 from newegg on launch day :2razz:

The frightening thing is that, compared to some of the people on here, he might actually be a moderate in their eyes.

its no different than some of the biggest leftwing hacks on this board claiming to be moderates or centrists
