Plot to blow up a bridge is foiled by the FBI

Seriously, I don't see why a few nut-jobs getting caught doing something foolish has any direct reflection on the OWS movement though.

Just because some men rape doesn't mean all men are rapists.

I would bet the FBI is now investigating the Occupy Cleveland group.

The would be negligent if they didn't. However I don't think entrapment fits here unless they activley pushed these people to commit a crime they otherwise would never have considered. Which will be a hard argument, given thier origional plan.
 
One thing to keep in mind though is no matter how moronic these losers look, the guys thad cut flight attendants throats with box knives and flew planes into buildings didn't look real sharp either. If they had been caught before the act people would have looked at them and read about their plot and said, yeah right like that could ever really happen.
 
This bunch of dorks look like they have trouble discerning which way is up; I'm sure their defense will be an over zealous and mislaid passion for anarchism, and will claim very low intelligence to actually carry out such a violent act. At least, that seems to me to be an obvious tactic to give reasonable doubt, given these sterling mug shot pictures. They are just PRECIOUS!

Only if they suggested to these assholes they should blow it up, if they went for item A and they say "well you know, we also have", and they say "I want that please", not entrapment.


They were already plotting a crime.

Perchance, but we're already in questionable land at that point in terms of entrapment. If they facilitate the crime, it's entrapment. If these idiots were like "We're totally going to use these smoke bombs on the bridge, that'll show them!" and the cops said "Well yeah, but you could use real explosives; I can get them for you"; that's entrapment. If the kids came up to them and said "**** son, smoke bombs just ain't gonna cut it, we need to get some real explosives" and then the cops bring it up, likely not entrapment.

They were plotting *a* crime, but not *that* crime.

I don't think this is entrapment, but there is a part of me that stops short of saying for sure.

How despicable it is that ALL CONSERVATIVES belong to the KKK and hate women.

Actually the KKK first formed from a branch of the Democratic party not Republicans. Liberal hero Senator Byrd was a proud member of the KKK.... and as for the war on wome, this FAIR and BALANCED Indendent doesn't see it.

This is essentially entrapment, but will not be tried as such. I posted another article on this elsewhere, sorry I can't keep up with how many threads on the same issue this board always has.
