But not on the basis of Republicans and Democrats. A fact that is presumably what was supposed to be so shocking and insightful about this thread.
 
If Zimmerman had been a TEA partier, does anyone doubt that there would be a thread here, or maybe a few, about that? What would the news coverage be like? What would certain people here say about the TEA party and guns and the TEA party and race? I totally get that him being a registered Dem has exactly zero relevance to this incident. I just think that should be true no matter the political affiliation.

So... Democrats want to politicize this as a race based killing where an innocent black kid was killed by an evil white man...

And Republicans want to relish in the unfortunate incident by pointing to the man's political registration and pin the incident of Democrats...

Isn't it interesting that they keep saying that Zimmerman is a white Hispanic? Why not just say "Hispanic"?

If he had pulled Trayvon from a burning car, would they be using the white adjective? Somehow I just doubt it.

Zimmerman is clearly a Conservative. That's why he killed Martin. That's why he thinks all black guys wearing hooded sweatshirts are "assholes who always get away".

I think it's necessary in order to keep it as race bait. Many want to turn it into a story of a racist white man killing the innocent black kid because he was walking around at night. We don't know all the facts, and I think many are getting way too emotional about the issue and believing what they want to hear/get hyped up about.

It also pisses me off that the images that were thrown at us 24/7 were of Trayvon years ago and a very mean looking Zimmerman. Seriously? That's journalism?
