Janet Howell, Virginia State Senator, Attaches Rectal Exam Amendment To Anti-Abortion

Re: Janet Howell, Virginia State Senator, Attaches Rectal Exam Amendment To Anti-Abor

So, people attack this because it's an emotional ploy, but it's okay to force women to have an ultrasound before getting an abortion? Is that not an emotional ploy too? Turnabout is fair play. All of the men getting butt hurt about this is absolutely hilarious. The moment that a man can actually know what it's like to carry a baby to term and give birth is the moment that I'll take him seriously in a discussion about what a woman does with her own body. And MrVicchio, this has to be your best thread as far as hyperbole goes. Seriously, five stars...

I see what you did there. :lamo

Re: Janet Howell, Virginia State Senator, Attaches Rectal Exam Amendment To Anti-Abor

I'm not the one evading or making bs up to hide my true motivations. YOU ARE.

WHY do you have a problem with this law?

Tell us. Don't claim it's about unnecessary treatment, that's bull. It's because it reduces abortions, and in fact, turns public opinion away from abortion, something you firmly believe in.

That's the real truth. Abortion is losing it's hold in America, and every inch closer to making it scarce, people like yourself will fight, because that's what your marching orders are. Fight Life. It's pure politics your position. You just don't like that I call it out. Hey, it might even be true you don't realize the crux of the issue and why you believe what you do. Consider yourself educated.

If you ask the question at least be smart enough to listen to the answer. If you're going to just ignore the answer and continue with your silly tin-foil hat conspiracies that all pro-choicer's just really love killing fetuses you'd realize your way off base.

The government should not be forcing people to under go and pay for completely unrelated medical procedures just to do something that is their right. I say that not because I hate babies or any of the other ridiculous crap you're probably going to fling my way, but because it's the simple truth.

When did you stop beating your spouse?

Nope. Fair question.

I want credit for my "thumbs up" comment.

Re: Janet Howell, Virginia State Senator, Attaches Rectal Exam Amendment To Anti-Abor

This is stupid. A doctor is supposed to check a man's blood pressure anyway before prescribing ED medication. ED is not equal with abortion.

At least performing a stress test would have some clinical value, which is more than you can say about performing a sonogram on an about-to-be-aborted fetus.

Government mandates are only good when I agree with them.

You know, I agree with this bill. Not only that, but I believe that, before a woman is allowed to have sex, she must submit, in a courtroom setting, to a panel of 5 fashion designers, who are to test her for appearance, proper attire, and to make sure that her hair is properly groomed, and her nails trimmed. The panel will make their recommendation to a judge, and the judge will then grant her a permit for ONE session of sexual intercourse, provided that her partner also meets with the judge's approval, This permit shall be valid for 24 hours. During intercourse, a police officer shall stand guard in the bedroom, to make sure that no more than one session of sexual intercourse occurs. If the couple desires more than one session of sexual intercourse, then the man must pay a pole tax for each addional act of sexual intercourse during the 24 hour period that sexual intercourse between the couple is allowed.

What? You said that, in the first sentence that I agreed with the bill, so what's up with the rest of this? Yes, I did agree with the bill, but I left out that my agreement with that bill was due to it's silliness, hence the silliness thereafter in my post. LOL.

Giggle. Funny misspelling, or was it intentional?

an obvious analogy would be to protest a waiting period for gun ownership, we pass a bill requiring OWS protesters to spend a night in jail before being allowed to protest.

ridiculous use of government? Yes

approved by the likes of redress and her ilk? yes

Wanna bet on that last?

am I willing to bet that you apply any logical methodology to your views on govenrment?

hell no.

but the analogy is the same, and you clearly support the intent behind the analogy when it benefits you.

Reminds me of this:

States are cracking down on political speech with burdensome laws - The Washington Post

A Washington state law is notably protective of the political class: There must be litigation before a campaign to recall a public official can start, and lawyers are essentially forbidden from volunteering their help with that litigation. In Mississippi, anyone can put up his or her own Web page about a ballot issue, but the Web page designer must disclose the time he or she took to do it. And anyone who spends more than $200 on political speech — say, a small ad in a local newspaper — is required to give the government monthly reports about his or her political activity.

And that's just some of the crap Will has found.
