Wisconsin Recall Drive Hits Republican Hurdle

Someone should do a 50/50 with an over/under on how many dead people, duplicates, pets, etc... are going to on that list. Proceeds go to like the Cancer Society or something....
Well, the reason they got 1 mil instead of 540,000 was because they wanted to make sure that they would have enough valid signatures when all the erroneous ones were cancelled out. It seems that a lot of conservatives in this thread are unaware of the fact that those collecting the signatures were well aware that all of the signatures would be thoroughly checked. The Democrats expected some 'duplicates and dead people' which is why they vastly overcompensated. If you're looking for a 'gotcha' moment out of this, you're not going to get it.

If there's one thing I'm sure of, is that there will be multiple problems with the 1 million list of names... it's just a prelude of what's yet to come. Just wait for the other shoe to drop.

Well, it you're going to compare deaths in Vietnam to deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, you're going to have to account for the role that technology, environment and other factors played in reducing deaths during the latter wars. And Obama hasn't really ensured any suffering.

That's probably not going to happen. Liberalism, like conservatism, is a set of philosophies that resonates with a lot of Americans and much of it is based in a set of ethical principles that many people identify with. I do agree that financial restraint could have a larger a place is liberal policies.

I was referring to economic suffering right here at home. Courtesy the "food stamp President" Barack Obama.

LBJ got tens of thousands of our boys needlessly killed. Write a letter to the kids of those men, and blame a "lack of technology". Good luck with that, btw. Then tell it to the kids of the 9-11 victims. Guess that was all the GOP's fault too.

Like I said, Obama hasn't really ensured any suffering. He's just ensured that your dislike of him which isn't surprising since you disagree with him politically.

This is has nothing to do with what I said.

He's such an inept jackass that his campaign them is "don't blame me". Just how much thought do I need to put into considering him for reelection ? Do I come across as some lockstep Obama supporter who is too stupid to think beyond adoration of that buffoon ?

Because there's no way this could legimately happen to a Republican?

I wonder if the recall of Gray Davis in California had no duplicate signatures. Did you forget how Ahhnold became governor?

Duplicates on these things are pretty much par for the course. Regardless, there's some real anger, including some who voted for Walker in the first place who didn't realize they were getting an ideologue.

Link?

Except for Gray Davis according to you.

Unions are always angry at something.

I assure you sir, I, like many here on this forum, find you to be equally as disgusting but I digress. You are insignificant so I really don't get bothered by you very much.

However, I will refrain from the personal insults and attacks you are so well known for when you are on the losing end of the battle. It is enough for me to know that I am me and I am not like you. That is much to be thankful for. And since I'm on the winning end of this battle I will simply let you continue to talk your trash. Like I said, insignificant.

PS. Who's the angry guy? I believe that would be you sir.
Those of us who have witnessed you in the heat of debate should definitely recognize you as an expert on the subject of being "on the losing end of the battle".

Please allow me to be the first to congratulate you on your exemplary record and am offering my expert testimony should you apply to Guinness for recognition of this unique accomplishment.

;)

Except for Gray Davis according to you.

Perhaps it wasn't entirely clear, but I'm quite certain there would have been a few signatures thrown out on the petition to recall Gray Davis. That's usually the way it goes.

I can only imagine how much pleasure you derive from sending our children off to die in uncalled for wars or sending American jobs overseas. Life has been very good to you lately. Enjoy it while it lasts. We're taking our country back. One state at a time. It begins here in Wisconsin.

Sadly, I am limited to giving this only one LIKE. I wish I could give it 100.

Ironically, I continue to push for politicians that seek to end our wars and meddling in foreign affairs, while you continue to support those that approve of those types of things.

So you're not certain, it didn't happen to Gray Davis, or is it pretty much par for the course?

Your post #31 seems to run the gambit of all three.

That's all you got? That was kinda lame (not to mention stupid.) If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch. Better yet, you and MrV should get a room. You seem to do well at scratching each other's fleas.

If I wanted to argue with a child, I'd call my grandkids up. Go to your room. LOL!

Not really sure why there is an argument against validating signatures. The process shouldn't be tainted by fraud.

Will there still be enough valid ones? I would hope the recallers could find 500k valid signatures, considering 1.1 million people voted against walker in the last election.

I'm sure by the time the recall election will roll around, both sides will have plenty of "evidence" to support their claims. Recallers will argue that Walker cost them their jobs, while supporters will argue that Walker saved their jobs.

Same ****, different day.
