Well, the reason they got 1 mil instead of 540,000 was because they wanted to make sure that they would have enough valid signatures when all the erroneous ones were cancelled out. It seems that a lot of conservatives in this thread are unaware of the fact that those collecting the signatures were well aware that all of the signatures would be thoroughly checked. The Democrats expected some 'duplicates and dead people' which is why they vastly overcompensated. If you're looking for a 'gotcha' moment out of this, you're not going to get it.

If there's one thing I'm sure of, is that there will be multiple problems with the 1 million list of names... it's just a prelude of what's yet to come. Just wait for the other shoe to drop.

That's probably not going to happen. Liberalism, like conservatism, is a set of philosophies that resonates with a lot of Americans and much of it is based in a set of ethical principles that many people identify with. LBJ got tens of thousands of our boys needlessly killed. Write a letter to the kids of those men, and blame a "lack of technology". Good luck with that, btw. Then tell it to the kids of the 9-11 victims. Guess that was all the GOP's fault too. :roll:

Like I said, Obama hasn't really ensured any suffering. He's just ensured that your dislike of him which isn't surprising since you disagree with him politically.

I wonder if the recall of Gray Davis in California had no duplicate signatures. Did you forget how Ahhnold became governor?

Duplicates on these things are pretty much par for the course. Regardless, there's some real anger, including some who voted for Walker in the first place who didn't realize they were getting an ideologue.

Perhaps it wasn't entirely clear, but I'm quite certain there would have been a few signatures thrown out on the petition to recall Gray Davis. That's usually the way it goes.

Not really sure why there is an argument against validating signatures. The process shouldn't be tainted by fraud.

Will there still be enough valid ones? I would hope the recallers could find 500k valid signatures, considering 1.1 million people voted against walker in the last election.

I'm sure by the time the recall election will roll around, both sides will have plenty of "evidence" to support their claims. Recallers will argue that Walker cost them their jobs, while supporters will argue that Walker saved their jobs.

Same ****, different day.
