Occupy Protesters Have Blocked Access to Three West-Coast Ports

It was pretty clear. They are a new movement, and deserve to be given some time to form & evolve. Let's see where they are in six months, shall we?

This is a puerile train of thought. Indeed you jest sir.

Dubious cause...in your highly biased & bigoted view.

if it wasn't for civil-disobedience, black would not have the right to vote down South, Segregation would still be legal, abortion rights would not exist, etc etc.

By all accounts & understanding of history, civil-disobedience and the evolution of society go hand-in-hand.

This isn't about anything so lofty as any kind of “civil rights”. This is about takers—parasites, pissed off that they aren't being allowed to take as much as they think they ought to, from the productive members of society, so now they are throwing a fit and trying to drag down the productive part of society.

Anyone who says this movement about anything other than that is either lying or delusional.

And, as always, we find you solidly on the side of the takers.

The Civil Rights movement fought injustice.

Much of what OWS is fighting, is also injustice.

Productive workers being allowed to keep what is rightfully theirs, rather than having it taken from them to support worthless parasites, is not “injustice”.

For that matter, productive workers simply trying to get to their workplaces and do their jobs is not injustice either.

Exactly. This is about people who want to have their cake and eat it too. The little children who went to college and partied for 4-6 years while racking up a six figure debt and walking away with a degree which has ABSOLUTELY ZERO viability in the CAREER market (Communications, English Lit, Archeology, Political Sci, etc....) and now find themselves in a massive hole. The people who bought everything on CREDIT or signed onto a mortgage that basic math told them they'd never be able to pay off, and who are now wanting someone to bail them out from their horrific mistakes.

We all make mistakes in life. Hell, I've probably made more than my share of them over the years. I just never expected the Government to come and bail my ass out when I did.

If the right wing would just admit that most of the Occupy people are just average Americans protesting with a different view than theirs that is not radical but also in many other Americans views as well, i would be happy with that.

“Average Americans” are too busy working at their jobs, and generally going about life, to participate in idiocy such as the “Occupy” protests.

during the day? yes.

but after 5 and on the weekends, the OWS protests are filled with regular hard working Americans.

Balderdash..... Statistics show they are mostly well to do affluent white kids. Students or leeches.

but after 5 and on the weekends, the OWS protests are filled with regular hard working Americans. you know, folks like you and me.

All the genuine “regular hard working Americans” are busy doing just that, or at least trying to. None of them are participating in the OWS protests.

And there are no “folks like you and me”. You and I are not the same. I am an honest and hard-working.

I am also hard-working & honest, just like you.

but again, this thread has NOTHING to do with you...or me.
