It most certainly can. You cannot force people to accept different religious beliefs, particularly if you're accomplishing that through force of government. People must be free to believe as they want. Consequence of freedom, it's time we learned to deal with it.

Honestly, the best thing that could happen was it be proven that the church is making pure political statements and telling their audience how to vote. That would have their tax status taken away.

It's no different than a white family going to to black seperatist church, or a Christian couple going to a mosque.

The only difference would be that no one would care, but since this isn't politically correct, we see people getting all in a twist about it.
