Ok so which is it Herman...cmon you can do it...cmon spit it out..

This is where you get into trouble. Just tell the frickin' truth the first time you're asked and you won't be stumbling all over yourself. :sigh:

wait....didn't he say there was NO such settlement?

He said he wasn't aware of one and by this release it fits. He claims the associations counsel handled the entire situation.

Hes been lieing from the beginning....he was asked directly 4 times by a reporter if he ever had sexual harrassment allegations made against him and he refused to answer....hes not ready for primetime...any other candidate with half a brain would have known they couldnt lie their way out of public record...

Name one politician that would have admitted to the allegations on the first questioning.

His story hasn't changed. He said that the claims of harrassment were baseless and totally false, and he still believes that. A settlement is NEVER indicative of an admission of wrongdoing.

he first said there was no such settlement.

he clearly lied.

Nope. She got 2 months severence package. not a settlement for a lawsuit. All politicians, and businessmen, and lawyers, know how to answer what was asked, and only what was asked.

You've got to be kidding me. Are you ****ing serious? Somebody makes a claim of sexual assault against you and you don't know the outcome? Hey, I got some beach side property in Alberta, Canada for you. You buying?

HE didn't pay anything. The association paid a severance package. And that's something you don't remember after 15 years.

That's not what he said. Here I'll copy and paste it really slow so you can keep up:

I take issue with 1) the claim that as a high ranking executive he didn't know the outcome of sexual assault claims 2) he didn't know the people who signed his paychecks signed a paycheck worth thousands because of him. I don't really care whether he paid out of his own pocket or not. The fact that he didn't know about a sexual harassment settlement where he was a main character smells of senility, stupidity or lying: Take your pick.

He said that the claims were baseless, and the associations investigation came to the same conclusion. So they parted ways with the employees with a severence package.

If I were accussed of something, and the result was the claim was baseless but we paid a severence package anyway, I would think that the baseless part would stick in your head longer.

Put yourself in his shoes for a moment.

edit: kids are home, out.

I would agree with this. It seems highly doubtful that he wouldn't know about a settlement stemming from a lawsuit complaining about his actions. I don't know if the allegations are true (and I don't necessarily think it would be disqualifying even if they were), but his story doesn't really add up and it sounds to me like he's lying.

He said that the claims were baseless,

That's clearly not the case as a settlement was paid out to not one but two individuals.

and the associations investigation came to the same conclusion.

See above.

So they parted ways with the employees with a severence package.

Is that what they call paying people money to keep their mouths quiet these days?

If I were accussed of something, and the result was the claim was baseless but we paid a severence package anyway, I would think that the baseless part would stick in your head longer.

If the allegations were baseless, why were the women paid settlements and legally barred from discussing the issue any further? Put myself in the shoes of a homophobic, xenophobic, rich tycoon who opens his mouth a-la-Palin? Do you do that a lot? But let's go back to the case here. If two women accused you of having raped them, would you forget what the outcome of the situation was?

yep the association paid FOR HIM the allegations were against him not the association

Yesterday Cain and his campaign told 5 different stories...from total denial...to finally admitting he signed the agreements and everything in between....Cain was obviously lieing and he made a fool out of himself.
He and his campaign was given a FULL 10 days to prepare a defense and a response and they wind up lieing 3 different ways....
If Cain wins the primary...Obama is guaranteed another 4 yrs.
