Thomas Sowell: Herman Cain More Black Than Barack Obama

This is all for naught.

The Republicans are not going to nominate Cain. Come on really....

Yeah, the left was soiling itself about the overthrow of the Shah, with their cheerleader in chief, Jimmy Carter. They could not wait until the Ayatollahs "freed" them.

I want to see Cain announce he will have an all 100% black cabinet Any thing less will be a sellout by this thread.
I would prefer him to announce that he will have the most competent conservatives fill each cabinet position. And he will have no need for Czars as the current occupant does.

Did anyone else notice in the video that Sowell credited PUBLIC libraries and PUBLIC schools as being part of his early life success. Now those PUBLIC entities are being threatened by the Republicans in office with budget cuts.

Not saying Sowell is part of this group, but those that say they did it all without any PUBLIC help are only lying to themselves.
Public libraries are most likely to be done in by access to the Internet.
Public schools should be abolished. Let's have education provided as a commodity much the same way one might by a car, computer, or television. We would have many more choices for what to buy.

Funny you mention this. I discussed this with my wife this morning. I prefer Cain to all others. I intend to support him with money and with time. When the time comes I will vote for him in the Primaries.

Don't speak too soon. Herman Cain just won the Nevada straw poll.

They are just toying with you. I could see Cain being a VP nominee but no way will the Republicans nominate him as their Presidental candidate.
Time will tell. Then we can see who is blowing smoke.

Carter, like most Presidents before him, supported the Shah. One of those "he's a son of bitch, but he's our son of a bitch" things. Ronald Reagan supported Saddam Hussein because he was against Iran.

So there you go. Both sides love their dictators. When they're on our side.

People who think Barack Obama propelled us closer to a post-racial world have their head in the sand.

Not sure what this has to with anything I said, but....

I'd agree, but even if I didn't the "event" I described happened during the Clinton administration.

People who think Barack Obama propelled us closer to a post-racial world have their head in the sand.

That's the one thing you've said since you joined this site that I completely agree with.

:lamo

Yeah, them dumb blacks shouldn't get into private schools!

Does he even realise the implications of that statement?

He actually has a point. Obama has pretty much had the privileged, middle-class, bourgeois, Ivy League upbringing. That's certainly atypical in terms of the black experience in this country. Cain grew up from nothing in Atlanta, one of the most chocolate cities in America.

I bet their not. :rofl

They won't be able to scream, "racism", anymore.

If Herman Cain was the GOP nominee it would be Christmas next summer for every progressive in the land.

I'm not denying anything, I'm sure some people both liberal and conservative have started threads about Obama's race. But I don't care, like I don't care about this. I'm not denying anything, I'm saying I don't remember, as in I don't care enough to remember.

Read and understand what I say.

the answer is: by implication. for all those who have spent the last couple of years insinuating that conservatives must be racist to disagree with the First Black President, and who argued that black conservatives could be discounted because 'they weren't really black" just as Sarah Palin could be discounted because 'she wasn't really a woman'....

well, it's sort of deliciously ironic to watch them have to wriggle out of their own former arguments :)

Could you please tell us who exactly claimed that Palin was not really a woman? Names please with verifiable links.
