Same reason I don't speak out against republicans and tea partiers. They have every right to have their wrong beliefs. Same reason I don't rail against the KKK...they really are not relevant to American politics as there are almost none of them in this country so it is kinda a waste of time. Why do you insist on trying to tie them into the mainstream left when they are not the same thing?

They are tying themselves together.

If there is no common goal with these protests, then it's simply a mish-mash of various people who have no common goals or solutions. Therefore, they're all irrelevant and not the fabulous "coming together for one common purpose" that people are making it out to be. It's just a bunch of people screaming, hurting small businesses and not showering. Why would you be for that mess?

If the Tea Party stood side-by-side with the KKK at rallies and protests, never speaking out against them or asking them to leave or seperating themselves from them, everyone (rightly so) would link the two groups together. Agreed?

Growing a constituent-base so that when the goal is described, it has significant backing.

These portests are raising awareness, not bringing issues to the table. The fact that 1,700+ cities worldwide are taking part says something to me. It should to you, too.

OWS doesn't turn people away based on political ideology. We are the 99%, not 99% of liberals. This is an everybody movement, no matter what your biased media tells you.

I didn't miss the point. I think your analogy is dumb as hell. The reason a reaction the KKK would be different than a reaction to socialists is because THEY ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TYPES OF GROUPS.

You must have missed my other post. There is no "one demand", right now there is a list of grievances. A simple mind can look at this situation and figure that the most likely demand is going to be ending the corruption of and influence of money in politics.

If you can't get behind that, then I'm not sure how American you are.

I'm saying YOU (and the others) are defining these protests as pointless. You're saying there's no common goal among the anarchists, communists, socialists, libertarians and liberals. So there is no purpose except to get together to yell about different things you're mad about. That's what YOU all are saying.

There's a reason that in 2008, 94% of election winners raised more money in campaigns. Money wins now, not people.

I'm a tea partier and I've been about ending corruption in politics since I became interested in politics. These people have despised everything about tea partiers for 4 years. Now all of a sudden they agree?

Tea Partiers are involved as well. I really plead you to consider that this isn't just a leftist movement. I align more with the right, and fully sympathize with the movement.
