Breitbart: We have the guns

What liberals are calling for a revolution?

Also, anyone who has to keep using the word 'retard' toward those he doesn't agree with loses a whole lot of credibility in a debate forum. Might want to rethink that strategy.

Does not compute. Clearly there is another factor in there that makes this equation work that I have yet to find.

While that may be true, it would be little more than standard fare from the right wing talk media playbook (verbal bomb throwing; who knows what they really believe vs what they publicly posture for the rabid base?).

However, it is indicative of the right wing talk media authoritarian streak, in that they espouse violent methods to achieve their goals. This is exemplified by incidents ranging from firearms being brandished at Tea Party events to Rick Perry 'laying hands' on various people who challenge him (including Ron Paul) to Breitbart's pronouncement above. There is a history.

Now in Breitbart's case this is surely nothing more than false bravado, for he seems to be somewhat of a pansy (no insult intended, just an observation; compared to Rick Perry, who I believe would indeed pop a cap in your ass if he felt sufficiently motivated and thought he could get away with it). But again, it is indicative of the Stalinesque tactics the far right -- their way or the highway, democracy be damned... Breitbart is hardly alone (so-called citizen militias, survivalists, rapture fundamentalists, skinheads, certain Tea Party segments, all are on the right and all are hoping for Armageddon in order to bring Rambo fantasies -- or religious escapism -- to fruition). Bottom line, they are dangerous, and should not be ignored.

Same with every gun owner in my state (especially after my state pre-empted local laws to those effects).

The reason I think Breitbart said that was in case anyone on the left tried to start a revolution, etc.

No bloody revolution, no guns used.

The socialists with the "left" have, throughout history, advocated revolution. As one example there was the socialistic revolution in France in 1848, among others.

If any of the left wish to start a revolution, a bloody one at that, then guns will be drawn.

OR the very REAL instances of morons that talk whistfully about revolution. See...you can keep on making up pretend **** as usual and I will keep steering you back to the FACT that he was responding to comments made by others in a conversation about revolution. On the plus side...there ARE many on the left that think the people talking about revolutiion as a 'good thing' are retards as well...even if they disagree with Breitbarts comments about weapons.

Surprisingly though a large number do...just like a large number listen to Limbaugh. Never have really understood that phenomenon. The plain truth is that Breitbart was involved in a discussion with people talking about the 'coming' revolution...basically talking about the very small minority of idiots that find that notion desirable. I agree that Breitbarts comments werent very bright...he follows a trend. That being said...I think intelligent and reasonable people have seen the violence perpetrated in London recently and would stand for the appropriate forces queling such an event in this country as swiftly as possible.
