New polls confirm Obama's Democratic base crumbles

Eh.....only confirms that the right-wings attempts to paint Obama as a "liberal" or a "socialist" are nothing but a bunch of lies. Those of us on the left, knew coming into this that Obama was a moderate at best. I'm sure a few people were fooled by the right-wing, but those of us in the know voted with that understanding. Obama is still a hell of a lot better than anything that the GOP has to offer, so I suspect that despite what this poll suggests, the left will support Obama come election time.

Bottom line: The country may be spooked right now, but hearing what's coming out from the Right right now, folks have to know the pool of Republican hopefuls aren't any better.

i'm not sure i will vote.

That is the issue. Its fine to say that Liberals or Conservatives have no place to go, but if you dampen their enthusiasm for a political candidate, then "no place to go" includes staying home on election night and staying home when the party calls looking for door to door help.

I want to point out that the GOP loves low turnout elections. They always do better the lower the turnout is. Staying home is essentially, a vote for the GOP. Instead, vote for someone who is neither dem or repub. Write-in someones' name. At least you get to register your discontent. A non-vote is basically a vote for the status quo
