Glenn Beck Moves to Dallas, Texas

I hope he starts wearing a cowboy hat all the time.

It seems like many in New York won't miss him. He held back tears Tuesday recounting how he was verbally assaulted in Bryant Park while watching an outdoor movie with his wife and daughter.

Beck, 47, said cinemagoers turned on him during Monday's screening of Alfred Hitchcock's "The 39 Steps." One person, he said, shouted "We hate conservatives here" and another yelled "We're in New York and we hate Republicans."

"You would think there would be some common decency, especially among the culturally superior here in New York," he said on his show.

I feel sorry for his wife and child that they can't go out for a nice night with their father and husband without this kind of harassment but as far as Beck goes it's highly ironic that he goes on the air daily and talks about poisoning Nancy Pelosi, Progressives being terrorists, talking about how Obama is pouring gas on the citizens and lighting them on fire, etc. etc. etc. and then expects to be able to go out into the world and not receive any hostility what so ever.

As far as the house, it's nice but not exactly my style if I were to be shopping for 5-6 million dollar houses.

'secure and gated'...lol....

It's totally not fair that he can talk like a crazy person and live in that huge ass mansion, while other similarly crazy people have to settle for a corner in the subway, or a box in an ally :2razz:

It pays to spread hate and fear... and to rip off Wilmington, Ohio.

ahh those tolerant liberals.....

Good for Glenn! Hope it turns out well for him and his family.

Tim-

It's just the seething hatred that's inherent in most liberals... Just ignore them and save your own sanity.

I didn't know it was seething, damn. I should feel more angry, but I don't. Maybe I'm not a real liberal :2razz:

Seething hatred in liberals? My God, haven't you heard right wing talk radio that's available in every community from shining sea to shining sea?

I was looking for a 4 million dollar home it sure as **** would not be in Texas.

1. 90% of Texas (and 100% of the countryside around DFW) is ugly. Most of the state is basically a hotter version of Nebraska.

2. The Dallas climate sucks for 6 months out of the year. Imagine the hottest most miserable day of the year in NYC, and that is pretty much every day from May through at least September in Dallas.

3. Property taxes in Texas are high as hell.

4. Austin would have been a lot nicer if he was looking to live in Texas. However, Austin is pretty liberal. Which is kind of the problem for extreme right wingers like Beck that want to live around other right wing nutjobs, almost all of the really nice cities to live in are liberal (Portland, Austin, Minneapolis, Madison, Denver, Asheville, Boston, and so on).

I don't get how bringing a struggling town into the media's eye, inviting thousands of people in to help boost their economy and giving thousands of dollars himself to the town is ripping them off. Where do they get this crap?

 I've been to austin, suggesting Beck should look elsewhere for "nutjobs" is funny.
