WASHINGTON – Amid diminishing media interest, Sarah Palin has quit her high-profile bus tour halfway through and returned to Alaska with her family, according to RealClearPolitics.

You've got to be kidding me. When was the last time Palin ever quit in the middle of something......... Um, never mind.

Article is here.

Quiting can become a habit. :coffeepap

God forbid anyone get facts before trashing here, right?

Sarah Palin Says Jury Duty Comes Before Bus Tour - KGMI-AM
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Reuters) - Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said on Wednesday she was pausing her "One Nation" bus tour to answer the call of jury duty and denied media reports her much-hyped multi-state jaunt had been cut short.

"The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan," her message said.

Funny how this happened around the time her daughter outed the fact that she got knocked up while drunk. It also comes oddly enough just after massive rumours (so big they even came in tabloid newspapers over here) that Todd was fooling around and divorce was on the cards..... we shall see!

If you have proof she has not been called to jury duty, please link to it. Otherwise, you're just spouting nonsense as usual.

The District Court of Alaska would have postponed/excused her service for prior vacation plans.

Did I say I had any knowledge what so ever why she stopped the tour? No. I only pointed out some facts and rumours that could have contributed to it. If it is jury duty, the kudos... but seriously how many major crimes are there in Alaska that require weeks and weeks of jury duty?.. just saying.

where did the piece I posted mention weeks and weeks of jury duty?

It didn't. You're reading way more into it... just like you always do.

Some sarcasm stated better than I could:

Oh, jury duty! Why didn't I think of that? Of course, that is the most obvious reason why somebody like Sarah Palin would cut short her nationwide, media-scrutinized bus tour. You know how jury duty is constantly gumming up the works for all those political icons and media superstars in the world. Aren't you getting so tired of constantly opening up newspapers to discover that the most famous and influential people in the world are cutting short all their well-laid plans on a dime so that they can return home and attend jury duty? It's practically a cliche at this point, am I right?

And don't you hate how every time to show up to jury duty, there's always some figurehead for a nationwide political movement sitting right beside you on the bench lazily flipping through a magazine? Grrrrrr! It happens so often so as to become boring!

For Sarah Palin's sake — actually, for the whole country's sake — I really hope that whatever actual trial Sarah Palin actually get out of sitting through with eleven other actual people isn't something goes on for an actual really long time, like the O.J. Simpson trial. That could seriously put a dent in her non-plans to not un-run for pretend-president.

Automatically? Without her actually requesting it? Really?

What are grounds for being excused from jury service and how do I make the request? Next Previous Top

Now what is so difficult about making a simple request to be excused from jury duty for a very expensive vacation paid for by donors to sarah pac?

Sarah Palin Says Jury Duty Comes Before Bus Tour - KGMI-AM

I'll admit I'm wrong when there's any evidence of her actually going through with jury duty or her continuing her bus tour but I don't believe the jury duty thing at all.

Her running for president would be the best thing ever. I could see the bumper stickers now...

Sarah Palin... uh... ahh that's good enough.

the fact you refer to the tour as a personal vacation shows your partisan hackery.

As was said earlier... she apparently takes the idea of jury duty as a 'duty' more seriously than others do.

I'm not surprised you fault her for this. I have no doubt that if she had requested to be excused, you'd be all over her like white on rice, claiming she is more interested in her vacation than performing the dities of a good citizen.

Rock on with your hate.

I got out of mine once too. It is a 'duty', so to speak. Maybe she takes it more seriously than we do.

No - not a matter of that - things like "whose going to watch the kids?" come to mind for me - seems like an extreme hassle.

the haters here should all use this as their avatar if Palin actually does report for jury duty.

You have to admit, this is hard to take seriously. Jury duty? ;)

Okay what am I supposed to call it so as not to appear partition even though she herself has refereed to it as a vacation.

Never mind the donors to sarah pac right and that very expensive customized bus.

She has a perfectly legit reason to be excused. That any person would use.

Try telling your wife you have to cancel your vacation to Hawaii with a non-refundable deposit because of jury duty.

you claimed she called it a vacation.

you linked to a list of reasons one can be excused from jury duty, bolding VACATION

are you now backing down and claiming it is not a vacation, and that the vacation excuse for skipping jury duty does not apply?
