Did you help him out with that? :ninja:
I told him to show up drunk the next day:mrgreen:

You know what - I've never met someone who is just a stay at home mom or something run of the mill like that who went for jury duty - everyone I've know has been teachers, politicians (like my town's mayor) etc. . . interesting.
I told him to show up drunk the next day:mrgreen:
I don't think you are being honest with yourself. Everything she does is highly criticized. For crying out loud, if she uses non-dairy creamer in her coffee, you'd see a five hour special on MSNBC about how she hates Wisconsin.
If you have proof she has not been called to jury duty, please link to it. Otherwise, you're just spouting nonsense as usual.
Sure, local level. Do we see McCain, Beck, Obama, Oberman, or anyone of equal celebery status serve? I'm not sure people of her status serve on jurty duty, and if they did, I bet we couldn't keep court TV away.
BTW, I've never been asked. Just saying.
Joe Biden goes to court -- for jury duty; joins latest line of high-profile politicians to serve

Even the vice president can't get out of jury duty.
Joe Biden was spotted at the New Castle County Courthouse in Wilmington, Del., amid other prospective jurors -- just the latest in a long string of high-profile politicians to serve their civic duty.
Biden, according to the Wilmington News Journal, was dismissed midday without having serve on a jury.
According to the newspaper, he sat in the center of the room, wearing a suit and mixed with other prospective jurors -- until he had to excuse himself to take phone calls, including one from his boss.
Despite saying he was happy to show, Biden probably could have been exempt from jury duty. The court excuses people from jury service upon showing undue hardship, extreme inconvenience or public necessity, the website said.
But Biden, who as a sitting senator also served in 2000, told the newspaper that he was just fulfilling his civic duty.
"I don't consider myself different than any other person," he said. "This is important -- it is an honor to be part of the system. I hope the President serves in Chicago if he is called."
And with that, the vice president committed one of his famous Bidenisms. The President was, in fact, called in Chicago last January, but told the court he couldn't make it -- it's not clear whether he postponed it or just canceled.
Biden wasn't the only member of the White House to be called for jury duty.
During his presidency, George W. Bush was summoned in Texas, but postponed his appearance.
Numerous politicians have also been spotted in the jury pool.
Last week, Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan reported for jury duty in Washington and in 2010, U.S. Attorney Attorney Eric Holder served -- but also was never called to a case.
In 2003, former President Bill Clinton was dismissed by a judge despite being willing to serve on a gang-related shooting.

Joe Biden goes to court -- for jury duty; joins latest line of high-profile politicians to serve - New York Daily News
So where is the backlash against Biden for stopping his duties as VP in order to report for jury duty? Surely that is much worse than suspending a bus tour.
Isn't it?
That surprises me. I stand corrected on that. But I will still be surprised if she actually serves.
There are three groups that are exempt from federal jury service:
members of the armed forces on active duty;
members of professional fire and police departments; and
"public officers" of federal, state or local governments, who are actively engaged full-time in the performance of public duties.
Persons belonging to these groups may not serve on federal juries, even if they so desire.
Temporary DeferralsThe Jury Act allows courts to grant temporary deferrals of service on the grounds of "undue hardship or extreme inconvenience." The juror summons provides specific information on how to request a deferral from the court summoning the juror.
Temporary deferrals for jurors are granted at the discretion of the court and cannot be reviewed or appealed to Congress or any other entity.
Who may be called to serve as a juror?
You may be called to serve if you are at least eighteen (18) years old, a United States citizen, a resident of Arkansas and the county from which you are summoned, consider yourself of sound mind and good moral character, have the ability to read and write in English, and have not been convicted of a felony.
When I am summoned as a juror, what am I supposed to do?The date and time you are to appear at the courthouse should be written on your summons. If a written summons is not used, you will be notified by a proper official, through your local newspaper, or through the local radio station. If you do not understand the notification instructions, you should call your local circuit clerk for clarification.
What should I do if being a juror at that time would be very inconvenient for me?
Those persons for whom jury service would be an extreme personal hardship may be excused. If you have a serious problem, write or visit the local circuit clerk's office at once. He or she will tell you how to apply for an excuse from jury duty. Only a Circuit Judge can excuse you from jury duty.
The Media only tagged on the the tour thinking was the prelude to her announcing she's running for the presidency. When they figured out that she probably isn't because Bachmann jumped in ahead of her...they no longer had a story. Thus Palin shutdown the tour. It wouldn't be hard for her to suggest to someone in her county that she'd just love to serve on JD. Nothing like a little JD to save face.
At that, Palin’s daughter Piper began to get impatient. “Okay, mom, please?” she begged. They started edging toward a waiting SUV.
What are her big ideas?
“The big ideas are for big tax cuts in order for the job creators to be able to keep more of what they are earning,” Palin said.
“Ooookay, mom, please?” Piper said.
Sarah Palin Bus Tour Takes Former Governor Across Eastern United States
and should the tour resume... your reasoning for that will be?????
How long can Sarah Palin claim that jury duty is keeping her from her cross-country bus tour? Indefinitely, in theory.
The state of Alaska is not required to disclose if or when Palin (or any citizen, for that matter) has been called for jury duty.
“Jury lists are confidential, regardless of who is on them,” a spokesperson for the Palmer courthouse, which presides over Palin’s hometown of Wasilla, told ABC News today.

He actually didn't, btw. He went in, and was released by midday. While there, he excused himself to take calls and such. Just saying.
Um, yes.. he did indeed report for jury duty. He was, as you have indicated, dismissed by mid day. As to any 'calls and such', you have no information that proves if they were or were not in regards to his official duties as VP. Unless you do, you can't claim with certainty that they were. Just sayin.
That's a lot of replies for the woman going to jury duty.
so, essentially, your partisan hackery is in full evidence here. She is damned if she stops the tour for jury duty.. damned if she resumes it.
Independent, my left testicle.

Occupies some time.
True, but reasonably likely. He was not, like Palin, out on a tour, or doing anything liken that as far as I know. Do you?
Doesn't make any sense. She stops the tour, heads back up to Alaska without any mention of jury duty, then once it's reported that the tour stopped she said it's due to jury duty with no further details and she won't even specify when the tour will kick back up.
I'll gladly bet a 20 dollar donation to DP that no conclusive evidence of her going to jury duty comes up and that she will not finish this bus tour at any point this year. It's over with.
