I am missing here the outrage of liberals or their politically correct medias! Almost all are keeping silence. A Christian sentenced to prison for sharing of his fate is probably nothing in comparison to burned qurans or mosques on Ground Zeros. Can you imagine the outrage of leftists if a Muslim will get denied his "Constitutional Right" to convert infidels somewhere in Detroit or in Bronx.

The best solution would be if Muslims enjoy same rights in the Western countries which they grant to non-Muslims in their countries.

A Christian man has been sentenced to five years in prison for sharing his faith with his neighbor. According to International Christian Concern, Siagh Krimo was given the sentence last week in Djamel District, Oran, Algeria....

Except it's not in detroit or the Bronx, it's Algeria!

What the **** do you expect?

Yes I'm against this barbaric story, no one should be locked up for things like this, but again... It's Algeria.

It is aweful that there are many places in the world left in the darkness of government oppression. But I don't think that you can pretend that this is by some means a double standard.

You don't go to Tianamenn square and start waving a pro democracy flag ;)

Than Algerians should have same rights by us like they grant all infidels.

Ah yes the classic solution.

Be as bad as the bad guys.

What makes you think that all Algerians that left Algeria hate Christians?

It is disgusting thing that Muslims claim more and more rights by us while they oppress all non-Muslims in their home countries. Or are we idiots?

Yeah, stripping our country of freedom of religion is totally the way to show our outrage from someone in another country being denied freedom of religion.

What rights are they claiming in our country that other people in our country do not get?

Its the law said:
Krimo was sentenced under Article 144 bis 2 of the Algerian Penal Code which makes it a criminal offence to "insult the prophet" or "denigrate the creed and precepts of Islam."

Maybe the 1st Amendment will get appreciated a bit more...by "theist".

Keep in mind Muslims living in the Western World aren't the same thing as Muslims living in the 3rd world. There are also Christians who still kill witches and practice genocide, in some parts of the world. Are you going to claim that Western World Christians are responsible for that?

Anyway, as Jetboogieman said, this is in Algeria. And while it is sad and depressing there are still places in the world where religious repression is commonplace and acceptable, it's not surprising in a place like Alergia. That is why you aren't hearing outcry. Because it's going on every second of every day all over the world, and it's not surprising. To imply it's "liberals" secretly supporting Christian suppression is dishonest and needless partisan hackery.

Yes, marching in and trying to force democracy on a million different fronts simultaniously has worked out so well for us, hasn't it? At the end of the day, these countries need to address these issues themselves.

My prayers go out to my brother who has been jailed for his faith. Christian persecution around the world is an atrocity that I do believe is largely ignored. However, I don't think we should politicize the arrest of an innocent Christian man. I do think we should bring awareness to Christian persecution around the world and to the countries that oppress freedom of religion. However, let's not turn this atrocity into some shouting match. Recognize it for what it is, an atrocity, and aim to fix it. Let's not use it as ammunition to hate others.

Everything from the erection of Mosques and Prayer Rooms till removing of crosses and Bible Quotations.

Unfortunately dumb libs still support Islam, the Religion of Peace and Tolerance!

So you're saying Christians don't have churches, and Jews don't have synagogues?

You're saying that Christians should be allowed to put up crosses and Bible quotes in public spaces, even with our secular government? How would you feel if a Muslim wanted to put Qu'ran quotes in public places?

I think that's pretty hypocritical of you.

I support a Muslim's right to their faith even though I believe it's wrong. I do agree that there are some overly PC individuals that will defend radical Islam and denounce this, but they are in a small insignificant minority. In all things though, share the love of God. Do you hate liberals? Do you hate Muslims?

HaHaHa,

go to Malmö, Paris, Germany, UK etc. and look.

How about Christians persecuting gays in this country, or Westboro Baptist Church? How about the Orange Volenteers in the UK who carry out terrorist attacks on Catholic churches, or Hutaree Christian militia in America who were planning explosive terrorist attacks on government officials and involved in violent crime?

Here's the point. No religion has the monopoly on ethics.

How can you compare a couple of beated gays with 270 millions of infidels killed by Muslims ( see above ). BTW according to Sharia all Homosexuals will be the first victims.

So you just ignored my other two examples, of genuine Christian terrorist groups in developed countries? Ok. I'll post the link again.

This isn't including all the other Christian terrorist groups in other places. You just want to hate Muslims.

Yes, it's liberals' fault that this happened in Algeria and that nobody is talking about it except your source!
