It's the unconstitutional entitlement programs that have busted the budget, and it's the lefties who support that crap.

But stop using the Mayor's money to assuage your guilt.

As has already been mentioned, the problem with Cantor's statement is where repubs plan on getting the money from. If it was coming from "new car" expenditures i.e. military weapons then there wouldn't be a problem with the statement. However, the repubs would take it from things like food stamps.

Sources of money to be used as capital loaned to Missouri until they can repay:

NPR/PBS
National Endowments for the Arts.
The Department of Education.
The Depeartment of Energy.
The Environmental Protection Agency.
The First Lady's Permanent Vacation.
The President's greens fees.

There's lots of places to get money immediately without harming the nation and without growing the national debt.

Depends on what policy the town purchased, doesn't it? And what policies the people purchased.

Replacing Joplin isn't very high on the list of things the Mayor needs to do with his money, and his children haven't expressed any interest in that, either.

Yes, they did.

The single most important thing that needs to be done with the health insurance industry in America is to allow interstate purchasing of insurance. There's no reason a man in Loseranna shouldn't be able to buy a plan from a business in New Hamster if that policy meets his needs and price range.

The other thing the government can do is to get out of the industry so the free market can do what it does, which would be to lower prices to meet demand once the artificial inflationary pressures of Infinite Money from the government is removed.

Because without social programs people are going to have to fend for themselves and when people succeed in fending for themselves they learn that their biggest problem is putting those idiots in the government back in their box and out of the way.

Training programs, mandatory skill-based services, and other programs designed to prepare these people to be productive are essential in the process of limiting or eradicating existing programs. I don't see anybody advocating to shut off the faucet tomorrow.

Piss on that. If a person wants to earn the big bucks, they can motivate their own lazy asses to get the training themselves. Turn off the pipeline leading from the Mayor's wallet to their cell-phone bill, and let them find work themselves. Those that can, will figure out how, those that won't, can starve.

Thats not a plan, thats a gimmick. It would have driven down prices for insurance, not medical care. The reasons medical care are expensive is because of insurance.

The only part the government is in is medicare and medicare does cost controlling methods better than the private sector.
