Supreme Court backs Arizona immigration law that punishes businesses

Seems to me that it solves a states' rights issue, which is supported by conservatives.

Not really. And that's my point. I can't believe you can't read it.

This law is about licensing (not against federal law to take a license away).

SB1070 is about allowing police discretion as to who may or may not be illegal, based on the cop's opinion.

Can you not see the difference?
 
The downside is that this is only in Arizona, which means that illegals there will come to Texas, or go to New Mexico or other states. Punishing employers who break the law needs to be done nationally.
Well, no. State by state is fine. We do not need a federal law for every occasion. I live in a state that is already working on a similar bill. Let each state decide.
 
And also the removal of anchor babies and public services. If a illegal immigrant had a child but is refused employment they can receive government assistance on the child. I feel only going part way by making jobs harder to obtain is only going to compound the problem.

I can agree with that.
