Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 'threa

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

And leaks out far too often.

Agreed, trying times we're having.

As the TP starts to die off and become irrelevant... there is hope for the future of the this county.

Brave girls like this young lady are our hope for the future, standing up to unqualified politicians like Bachmann.

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

Two hypocritically ignorant C-words is what they, Bachmann and Palin.

the not fully literate voice of hate

very revealing

Doesn't matter, though, does it? The talking point is already established: liberal elitist etc etcs coerce girl into phony attack on Bachmann. Doesn't matter what is true, this is what they perceive as having happened. Thanks to Fox News, even contradictory talking points don't register with the right-wing base. For instance, despite Fox News having done a positive bit on "rapper" Common a while back, the current story is that he's a thug rapper who advocated killing cops and President Bush. The Oprah Winfrey of rappers is now a "thug" to the right. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills here!

Imho, the Tea Party, chaotic and contradictory as it was, was a good thing. The fact that it's being gradually co-opted is a sad thing. There are numerous problems with our system that will never be addressed by the parties in power because the problems benefit those parties.
Greater involvement by the electorate is a good thing.
The gradual "demise" of the tea party is a sign of the same-ol same-ol ****ed up situation staying ****ed-up. While it may not be as bad as some things that could happen, it's not any sort of a betterment.

Brave girls like this young lady are our hope for the future, standing up to unqualified politicians like Bachmann.
I am just glad that the young lady is paying attention. Her actual political views, w/e they may be, are secondary to that.

I think that Bachmann is most likely not the only politician who would have trouble holding his or her own against a determined teenager in a debate.

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

Reality Check.

Someone (a teen girl), did something that caused a Public Figure (Bauchman) to be in an awkward situation. Some people may or may not have sent her threats and harassed her, because people, in general suck. This isn't a "TEA PARTY" thing, or a CONSERVATIVE thing, this is a "PEOPLE SUCK" thing.

Welcome to Life. Also it is in the nature of certain people, called Followers, to when ordered to repeat and stress a Talking Point, will do so without whit or care about reality, their own reputations... just as long as The Agenda is being moved forward...

Thus a nothing thread like this full of rants of righteous indignation by certain posters that were told they should say and feel a certain way.

You and me both, brother.

And I'm a big dirty "leftist" because I call out Fox News and the Palinites.

The Far-Right has moved so far away from center it seems like left...

I would love to see Bachmann on "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?"

It would seem that anyone who spent time on the internet would realize that people say stupid things here. I was totally unsurprised to hear that some anonymous commenters said some hateful things. Imho, it wouldn't've matter to much what she had said or done--someone one the internet is likely to say something stupid about it.

I was merely reiterating the sitaution.

The reason the Teen is really not all that brave nor intelligent is NO Politician outside of local levels would ever be DUMB enough to take them up on such a debate. It'd be political suicide. Bachamann would, regardless of performance, judged badly by pretty much everyone if she took up such a debate.

My nephew and niece-in-law were co-captains of their high school debate team. Once they graduated, they coached for I wanna say 3-5 years. Anyway, I often wonder how their children are going to survive being teens when mom and dad are so very good at debate.

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

Easy -- mom and dad are good, but since the kids are going to grow up in that environment, they'll be even better.

No, you're a big dirty leftist because all you do is spew forth hatred like you do in this thread. You condemn calling someone names by calling people names.

You really should just tuck and run, man.

It's so hard for the far-right base to admit the intellectual shortcomings of their party.

Newt had one decent idea, and they through him under the bus for Lady Nada.

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

Um...I think you mean insulting a child makes the Tea Baggers look really bad...

You're welcome.

What I want to know is since when is a presidential candidate required to debate someone who isn't even old enough to vote in the election? She's a child, she should be in school, not challenging public officials. The threatening her was stupid, but so was asking this woman to debate. Who does this little teeny-bopper think she is, anyway?

Yeah, was just me-tooing because "Welcome to DP" seemed too short by itself.

I agree with the adage that you can often judge stature by enemies. But I don't think that it reflects on the teen that much at all. If I were the politician, I wouldn't've debated her either for the reasons already stated here.

I may have reached out and offered her an internship or some other similar gesture. That would firmly establish the nature of our relative statures and made me look like a good guy.

That only applies to serious candidates.

In Ca we had a porn star and Darrel Isa run for Governor. Two total jokes.

Bachmann is less serious than that porn star.

Besides, Bachmann has to win the GOP primary to be a Presidential Candidate. Or file as an independent.

Right now, she's just an insult to the U.S. congress. A joke who won't even debate a high schooler because she knows she would lose.

I've always lived by the idea that if you are going to post about how stupid someone (or a group) is, you better darn well make certain that the post in which you make such an accusation doesn't have stupid errors.

Here, let me help you out by providing the definitions and a drill so you can remember which word to use in the future.

Because Bachmann ignored the debate request or some people were mean to a teen aged girl for making a stupid "debate demand"?

You are in full force today, but it's growing tiresome, have any original ideas Hazlnut?

Nothing stupid about it. Bachmann is an idiot for not making it a teaching moment and showing some respect to the people she serves.

Please show me a source verifying your statement that the young lady involved demanded that Bachmann debate her I read the letter she "challenged" not "demanded".

Re: Cherry Hill student's challenge to Tea Party champion Michele Bachmann prompts 't

This is what happens with Impotent Rage. The Tea Party is angry, but lack the itellect to understand their anger is really projections of their own failings, bigotry, homophobia, etc.

Now they verbally rape an underage girl.

That how rapists are made, impotent rage.

As usual, you haven't the first clue about the tea party or it's supporters, even though it has been explained to you over and over and over again. Why do you hate the people who support fiscal responsibility? Are you telling us that you support fiscal irresponsibility? The only "hate" I see is coming from you and your ilk, not from the tea party and it's supporters.

If he didn't have hate... he'd have nothing.

I'm SORRY Earl, did I use the wrong word? Challenged, EVERYONE! I used demand instead of challenge, I was wrong!!! WRONG!! In this whole thread, this is what is wrong!

So, now Bachmann is not a Teabagger darling anymore?

Why do you hate the people who support fiscal responsibility?

Why do you say that? I was with the Tea Party for the first 5 minutes, until they got co-opped by the Koch bros and became the rebranded GOP.

Are you telling us that you support fiscal irresponsibility?

I support intelligent and pragmatic leaders like President Obama.

The only "hate" I see is coming from you and your ilk, not from the tea party and it's supporters.

I would suggest you get out more.

She has a following among members that ID themselves as Tea Party members.

Yes, as we know, you are all about pure, free policy and principled driven folks, and not folks with clear, partisan hack agendas. For example, the proof for this is your love of Media Matters...

I support intelligent and pragmatic leaders like President Obama.
So you are against fiscal responsibility.

I would suggest you get out more.

I'd suggest you actually go out to a Tea Party rally, talk to the folks there, instead of regurgitating the email Talking Points you get for your postings here.
